Evolutions return in FC 25, with EA implementing several quality-of-life enhancements to ensure this popular feature operates more smoothly throughout the lengthy season.
For the first time in the franchise, FC 24 introduced the concept of Evolutions, enabling players to upgrade the attributes of their favorite Ultimate Team cards. Each Evolution can either be obtained for free or purchased using UT Coins or FC Points.
Once an Evolution is unlocked, players select a card and complete specific objectives to enhance that player’s attributes. However, each challenge is available for a limited period, requiring players to manage their time effectively.
In FC 24, players faced challenges in completing all objectives in time due to a restriction that allowed only one active Evolution at a time. Fortunately, FC 25 lifts this limitation and introduces a few noteworthy changes.

Entry Requirements
Not every card in Ultimate Team qualifies for Evolution upgrades. Players need to meet a specific set of entry requirements first. For instance, the Elite Ascension in FC 24 was limited to cards with stats such as less than 74 Overall Shooting, 73 Dribbling, and 64 Pace.
As players pursued multiple Evolutions for a single card, it became increasingly challenging to satisfy the requirements for additional upgrades. EA recognized these frustrations and has implemented maximum limits.
For example, an Evolution may provide a +10 upgrade to pace, capped at a maximum of 90 Pace. Previously, the entry requirement for this Evolution would have been a maximum of 80 Pace.
In addition, FC 25 reduces the number of Champions and Rivals challenges, moving them to more casual modes like Live Friendlies and Rush.

Cosmetic Evolutions
The Cosmetic Evolutions in FC 25 enable players to enhance the visual aspects, modify the color of their Player Items, and incorporate animations or sound effects.
Cosmetic Evolutions can be accessed via the main Evolutions page and can be activated like other Evolutions, either through UT Coins, FC Points, or by completing Objectives and earning rewards.
