Understanding EA FC 25 Pack Animations for Boards and Walkouts

EA FC 25 has unveiled a fresh set of pack animations in Ultimate Team. As players embark on this new title, having upgraded cards is essential for crafting a stronger starter team to take on challenging matches.

Packs can be obtained as rewards through various modes such as Division Rivals, FUT Champs, Squad Battles, or other objectives. Additionally, players have the option to buy packs using FC points if they prefer.

To differentiate between pack types, there are two key terms to understand: a “board”refers to receiving a player rated between 83 and 85, while a “walkout”indicates you have received a player rated 86 overall or higher. Here’s how you can distinguish between the two.

How to Identify a Walkout or Board in FC 25

FC 25 content creator Donk provided an insightful image on how to recognize a walkout.

If the pack features an 81 overall or higher player, the highest-rated player will walk down a hallway as part of the animation. The cutscene then reveals the player’s position, nationality, league, and club before finally displaying the card.

Conversely, if the highest-rated player in the pack is 80 or below, there will be no hallway cutscene, and the pack will jump straight to showcasing the highest-rated card.

For walkouts, if the highest overall player is 86 or higher, expect to see a sequence of lights arranged in a triangular formation in the hallway backdrop.

Unfortunately, there is no method to identify board players falling between 83 and 85 overall. All 80-plus rated cards will have the hallway cutscene but without any lights illuminating the background.
