Destiny 2 developers Bungie have unveiled a new challenge system for Guardians known as Raid Feats. Here’s everything you need to know about these exciting custom modifiers.
Bungie is transforming the end-game raiding experience in Destiny 2 with innovative modifiers designed to test even the most seasoned Guardians. This new feature, called Raid Feats, will allow players to impose custom modifiers on raids, enabling them to seek either a more intense or relaxed challenge.
Curious about the upcoming Challenge Customization?
Destiny 2: Understanding Raid Feats
Raid Feats represent a fresh approach to raid-specific customization. These will enable Guardians to select modifiers, referred to as “Feats.” These Feats will introduce and enforce various rules that players must adhere to, such as initiating a Time Trial for an encounter or introducing Contest Combatants for a more formidable challenge.
With Raid Feats, encounters can now feature new modifiers like Time Limits and more.
In addition to Time Trials, there will be other unique raid modifiers available, but details will emerge closer to the feature’s release.
It’s important to note that Raid Feats will be implemented in all future raids, meaning that existing raids will not be eligible for these modifiers. Unfortunately, this means no enhancements for fans of Salvation’s Edge.
Destiny 2: Raid Feats Release Timeline
The Raid Feats feature is scheduled to launch alongside Codename: Apollo. The first raid released during this expansion will have the capability to be customized by Guardians. Currently, Codename: Apollo is expected to be released in the Summer of 2025, with the corresponding raid typically launching a few weeks after the major expansion.
Destiny 2: Rewards for Raid Feats
While specific details about the rewards for participating in Raid Feats remain under wraps, we have a general understanding of how the system will function. According to Bungie, the more Feats that are activated during a raid run, the higher the likelihood of receiving high-tier rewards.
Keep in mind that activating Feats increases a raid’s difficulty, so rushing in without preparation won’t guarantee top-tier loot without facing a challenge.
