Destiny 2’s latest expansion, The Final Shape, marks the end of the Light & Darkness Saga and introduces players to new mechanics like the Traveler’s Blessings.
D2’s Traveler’s Blessings are Destination Mods that can be obtained by players while exploring the Pale Heart.
As this is a new feature, it’s important to have a clear understanding of what Traveler’s Blessings entail. With that in mind, we have put together an overview of how they function and what they represent in Destiny 2: The Finale Shape.
Traveler’s Blessings in Destiny 2
Unlike the mods used for Armor or Weapons, these Destination Mods have a unique purpose. Instead of modifying damage or defense, the Traveler’s Blessings directly impact the Pale Heart itself.
Essentially, these are beneficial enhancements that can give you an advantage while participating in various tasks in the unfamiliar area. Additionally, each enhancement is temporary.
Unlike other mods that have a permanent effect, Traveler’s Blessings only have a temporary impact, as none of them endure for more than 27 hours.
There are a pair of Traveler’s Blessings available: Flickering Blessings and Pale Blessings. Each one requires unique actions to unlock.
The following are places where Flickering Blessings can be collected:
- Cyst chests
- Lost Sector chests
- Overthrow Level 2 & Level 3 encounter chests
- Pathfinder Field Assignments chests
- Triage chests
Acquiring Pale Blessings may prove to be more challenging, as it entails completing all levels of the Overthrow activity within one of The Pale Heart’s zones. Upon successful completion, a Luminescent Seed will be awarded, which can then be planted in any of the hand sculptures found throughout The Pale Heart.
This seed will eventually blossom into a Traveler’s Flower, which grants access to the Pale Blessing when interacted with.
In the Director, you have the ability to activate the heading you desire for the Map. A new option will be available next to the Pathfinder icon.
All Traveler’s Blessings in Destiny 2
There are a total of fifteen blessings in the game, consisting of eight Flickering Blessings and seven Pale Blessings. These blessings comprise the following:
Flickering Blessings
- Traveler’s Animus: When a combatant is defeated, there is a possibility of obtaining a random elemental pickup or Orb of Power.
- Traveler’s Fervor: Sliding after sprinting for a short time sends forth a burning line of fire, dealing damage and scorching targets in its path
- Traveler’s Transference: Sprinting for a short time causes you to become amplified. While you are amplified, melee damage creates lightning bolts which damage nearby combatants
- Traveler’s Diffraction: Defeating combatants with Void damage has a chance to create Void seekers that track nearby targets and suppress them
- Traveler’s Sublimation: Rapidly defeating combatants with Stasis weapons creates a Stasis mine that damages and freezes nearby combatants
- Proliferation of Travelers: When defeating combatants with Strand damage, Threadlings are produced. The number of Threadlings increases when defeating Powerful Combatants.
- Traveler’s Multiplicity: When you land a finishing blow, your next thrown grenade will be converted into a bonus fragmentation grenade.
- Traveler’s Abundance: Defeating combatants with your grenade has a chance to spawn Special ammo. Defeating combatants with your Super ability has a chance to spawn Heavy ammo
Pale Blessings
- Traveler’s Insight: Upon interaction with a Traveler’s Flower, gain a temporary buff that provides increased Super ability regeneration
- Traveler’s Facet: Upon interaction with a Traveler’s Flower, gain a temporary buff that provides increased class ability regeneration
- Traveler’s Aegis: Upon interaction with a Traveler’s Flower, gain a temporary buff that provides
- Traveler’s Remedy: Upon interaction with a Traveler’s Flower, gain a temporary buff that provides a regenerating Overshield
- Traveler’s Resurgence: Upon interaction with a Traveler’s Flower, gain a temporary buff that provides increased health regeneration
- Traveler’s Valor: Upon interaction with a Traveler’s Flower, gain a temporary buff that provides increased grenade regeneration
- Traveler’s Grace: Upon interaction with a Traveler’s Flower, gain a temporary buff that provides increased melee regeneration
Several additional systems were introduced alongside Destiny 2: The Final Shape, such as the newly added Pathfinder mechanic, the Prismatic subclass, and the inclusion of Strange Coins.
