Understanding the Logic Behind One Piece’s Recent Bounty Increases

The much-anticipated release date for One Piece chapter 1130 is October 21, 2024. However, the initial raw scans have already surfaced. These preliminary leaks hinted at the unveiling of new bounties for the infamous Straw Hat Pirates. In a surprising twist, the focus shifted to the formidable giants Dorry and Brogy, whose bounties have surged dramatically from their previous amounts noted during the Little Garden saga.

While some members of the fan community expressed disappointment over the ludicrous escalation of their bounties, it remains justified due to the pivotal role these giants played in assisting one of the most notorious pirates on Egghead Island. Their actions directly contributed to Monkey D. Luffy’s successful evasion from the relentless grip of the World Government.

The raw scans from chapter 1130 depict the Arabasta crew grappling with entering the Elbaph castle, while the giants onboard pondered over their opinions regarding Loki, the Elbaph prince. Amid their discussions, the News Coo delivered the day’s newspaper.

As colossal beings, Dorry and Brogy couldn’t decipher the paper’s content, leading Robin to read the headline aloud. It proclaimed the resurgence of the New Giants Pirates, who emerged after a century-long slumber and aided the Straw Hat Pirates in igniting chaos on Egghead Island. To add fuel to the fire, the updated bounties for both giants were revealed as well.

Dorry and Brogy’s earlier bounties—set at 100 million berries each during the Little Garden arc—skyrocketed to an astonishing 1.8 billion berries. This significant augmentation reflects an incredible increase of 1.7 billion berries per individual. The giants humorously attributed this spike to inflation, pointing out that their bounties were adjusted after a century.

Despite seeming outrageous, this increase is grounded in logic, primarily because the Egghead event stands as one of the World Government’s most significant failures. The giants not only supported the Straw Hat Pirates in combatting the Five Elders but also played a crucial role in allowing Luffy to evade capture, marking another missed opportunity for the World Government to detain the pirate.

Additionally, the potential demise of Saint Saturn might have been a contributing factor to this considerable increment in the giants’ bounties, even if his death remains unconfirmed among most members of the World Government. Hence, the influence of Dorry and Brogy on the Egghead Incident is crucial, further validating the rationale behind their bounty increase.

Insights and Concluding Remarks

Among the various discussions within the community regarding the latest bounty adjustments, one notable observation is the contention over whether Mr. 3 from Baroque Works also merits a significant bounty elevation based on his actions during the Little Garden arc. During this arc, Mr. 3 attempted to trap Luffy by ordering a bomb-laced drink for the giant Dorry.

Sadly for Dorry, he unknowingly consumed the toxic beverage, leading to devastating consequences when he later battled Brogy, ultimately losing due to his injuries—much to the delight of Mr. 3, who claimed credit for Brogy’s victory. However, it’s crucial to note that Mr. 3’s achievements did not unfold in front of the World Government, which bases bounty calculations on witnessed events. Thus, any increase in Mr. 3’s bounty lacks a logical foundation.
