Unexpected People Who Made BTS’s Jin Shed Tears After His Discharge

On June 12th, Jin of BTS was released from his military duties after completing his service. He is the initial member of the group to be discharged.

In December 2022, Jin joined the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province. After serving as an assistant instructor at the recruit training center for 18 months, he returned to civilian life.

On the day of Jin’s discharge, BTS members RM, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook all attended to celebrate his return. Suga was unable to join due to his alternative service.

Despite being reunited with the members for the first time in 18 months, Jin maintained his composure and enjoyed his discharge.

The people who made Jin cry were not his fellow bandmates, but rather his younger military comrades who served alongside him.

Amid their congratulations, they shed tears for Jin’s discharge and lamented the fact that they would not be able to stay together any longer.

Upon witnessing his junior soldiers in tears, Jin, who had never cried in the presence of his fellow BTS members, was unable to prevent his own tears from falling.

Photos of the event quickly circulated on online communities such as TheQoo and Nate Pann, prompting netizens to leave comments like “How was Jin’s performance during his military service?”, “Is it common for junior soldiers to cry when their seniors are discharged?”, “This is a testament to Jin’s character,”and “It’s not often that juniors cry over their senior’s discharge, Jin must have made a strong impression during his military service.”

Each member of BTS found their own unique way to congratulate Jin. Despite being in the military band, RM prepared a saxophone and joined Jin for a discharge commemorative saxophone concert, which brought joy to their fans.

After fulfilling his military obligations, Jin will be appearing at the “2024 FESTA”event taking place at the Jamsil Arena in Seoul on June 13th to meet with fans.
