Pokemon Go players are familiar with strange glitches, and one in particular has completely transformed the appearance of Poke Balls – and fans are loving the new look.
It can be incredibly frustrating to encounter a game-breaking glitch while trying to catch a Pokemon, especially if it happens to be a Shiny. No one wants their game to crash or prevent them from capturing a rare ‘mon, especially when it is not their fault.
Nevertheless, there are occasions when a bug surfaces that fans find entertaining, particularly if it allows them to capture that elusive Shiny Pokémon in a unique manner.
The event that took place when a player encountered a Shiny Houndoom was shared on Reddit, sparking a discussion among members.

The poster shared their thoughts, saying, “I thought to myself, ‘a Shiny Houndoom would be amazing’ and clicked on it. To my surprise, it was actually a Shiny version.”They then went on to mention that they had not noticed the unique appearance of the Poke Ball until after clicking, and questioned if this was due to quickly taking a screenshot or if it was a result of a recent update.
Upon further investigation, it has been discovered that this issue is not a result of the recent update, leading many players to believe it is simply a glitch. Interestingly, there have been previous occurrences of this problem, as evidenced by others sharing their similar experiences in the comments section. One player even noted, “This has been an ongoing issue for quite some time now. I always thought it was caused by the shiny animation coupled with the Poke Ball animation.”
The post quickly gained traction, as numerous fans expressed their admiration for the ball’s unique design. Some even playfully suggested that the Pokeball had transformed into a disco ball in excitement and to match its shiny appearance.
Despite some believing that this shiny Poke Ball is a glitch, numerous others have encountered similar patterns on their belongings.
The game most likely glitched at the exact moment when Houndoom was revealed as a Shiny. Despite this, the screenshot captured the moment perfectly and showcased a spectacular new Poke Ball design.
