Netizens left negative comments about UNIS Gehlee Dangca, a Filipina K-pop idol, describing her as “cringe”for THIS reason.

After UNIS made a comeback with their song “CURIOUS”on the 6th of last month, Gehlee Dangca’s top-tier visuals quickly became a trending topic on SNS.

Despite being a rookie idol, K-pop fans and the K-media alike were quick to praise her princess-like beauty, with her performances’ fancams and pre-music show arrival videos being widely shared on social media.

Throughout these videos, the idol displays her grace by frequently strolling at a slow pace to capture the moment, and expresses gratitude to her fans by taking the time to interact with them. Gehlee is renowned for her “sleepy eyes”that resemble a doll, as well as her blond hair and statuesque height, which further add to her popularity.

Despite receiving praise from the K-pop community, Gehlee was also subjected to negative comments regarding her facial expressions and gestures. Many online users went as far as labeling her as “cringe”and a “pick me.”

Despite efforts by these netizens on Tiktok to band together and spread hate towards the young star, they still accused her of feigning her aura. Additionally, she was even given the derogatory nickname of “cheap dupe”often associated with IVE Jang Wonyoung.

After joining the survival audition program “Universe Ticket,”Gehlee Dangca gained recognition and became known to the public. This same program also gave birth to her current group UNIS.

Despite not yet having made her debut, the idol was already drawing attention for her graceful and gentle movements, often compared to that of a princess. As fans delved deeper into her past, they uncovered that Gehlee’s demeanor and appearance had always been genuine, with her captivating eyes being a natural part of her.

From a young age, the K-pop idol has been participating in modeling gigs and competing in various beauty pageants in the Philippines. As a result, she has been trained to embody the gestures and walk she frequently displays.
