In Chainsaw Man part 1, the Gun Devil played a significant role as an antagonist, with much of the series’s plot revolving around its presence. This powerful being caused widespread chaos and devastation, resulting in the deaths of countless innocent civilians within a matter of seconds.

Many individuals were driven to become Devil Hunters due to the presence of the Devil. Although the salary was attractive, most of them were motivated by personal loss caused by the Gun Devil. As a result, while pursuing careers as Devil Hunters, they sought to seek retribution against the devil for the destruction it brought upon their lives.

Despite fans seemingly forgetting, the latest developments in Chainsaw Man part 2 served as a reminder of a key fact: the Four Horsemen were more powerful than any challenge presented by the Gun Devil. This is due to the fact that the Gun Devil was considered the child of War Devil.

Upon discovering that Denji was actually Chainsaw Man, War Devil Yoru came to the realization that killing him would not bring her the satisfaction she desired. Despite this, she could not simply abandon her mission, as there was something she sought to reclaim from the Chainsaw Man. Although Chapter 176 does not unveil the identity of this object, it is likely the nuclear weapons she had mentioned in the first chapter of Chainsaw Man part 2.

Regrettably, in this particular task, she possessed solely two weapons that were at her disposal to vanquish the Chainsaw Devil. These were so valuable to her that sacrificing them would go against her goal of rescuing her companions. However, when faced with a critical situation, Yoru ultimately made the decision to wield her two weapons, which she considered to be like her own offspring.

Yoru summoned both devils, the Gun Devil and Tank Devil, telepathically and had them manifest into her two arms. It was apparent that the Soviet Union possessed 28% of the Gun Devil and the Tank Devil was housed at the Devil Containment Facility in the Gulf of Mexico. The fact that the Gun Devil, who was a formidable foe in the first part, now served as a mere weapon for the War Devil in part 2 of Chainsaw Man is a testament to the immense power of the Four Horsemen.
