Unlikely Item in Baldur’s Gate 3 Can Help You Survive the Frustrating Gauntlet of Shar Trial

One player of Baldur’s Gate 3 shared their experience of successfully completing the faith leap trial in Gauntlet of Shar by utilizing an unexpected item.

Completing the entire faith leap trial in Baldur’s Gate 3’s Gauntlet of Shar took an incredibly long time and required a significant amount of save scumming. It was a frustrating ordeal that I couldn’t wait to finish.

It is no longer a secret that one can skip the Gauntlet of Shar puzzles. However, if you are seeking additional XP or trying to increase Shadowheart’s approval in Act 2, completing all the tasks within the temple can be beneficial.

Participants in a discussion on Reddit about the faith leap trial in Gauntlet of Shar noted that instead of utilizing spells such as Misty Step, Fly, and other mobility spells, one could simply use the auto path feature to have their character walk and save time.

Shar in Baldur’s Gate 3 truly wants to put your patience to the test.

However, it should be noted that this method may not be effective for all players, as some have pointed out. Despite this, a user in the comments shared a solution involving the use of a commonly found item to successfully complete the trial.

According to their post on Reddit, they described their method as follows: “I repeatedly returned to uncover the pattern, scattered bones on the floor, and leaped onto them.”They further elaborated that they would collect all the bones they could find in order to achieve their goal. This impressive strategy left other players in awe.

“One user commented that they attempted to drop items, but found that throwing bones was a brilliant method for completing the task. They mentioned that they would definitely use this approach in the future.”

“Oh, that’s incredibly clever. Here I’ve just been estimating and taking leaps,”another person added.

Given the abundance of bones in Act 2, one can easily collect and save them in their inventory to attempt the trick for passing the faith leap trial in Gauntlet of Shar.
