The latest addition to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 introduces players to The Tomb, a thrilling new Zombies map featuring the formidable Wonder Weapon known as the Staff of Ice. Below, we outline the methods to acquire this powerful weapon and enhance your gameplay.
Acquiring the Ice Staff in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Players have two primary options for obtaining the Staff of Ice in The Tomb: through the Mystery Box or by constructing it yourself. Notably, both strategies can be executed within the same session, enabling two players in your team to wield the Staff simultaneously. This weapon is particularly effective against swarms of zombies and plays a crucial role in completing the main quest.
While using the Mystery Box can be a fun gamble, it offers a shortcut to bypass the more elaborate construction method. Utilizing the Wonderbar! Gobblegum can ensure that the next weapon drawn from the Mystery Box will be a Wonder Weapon, providing a 50/50 chance of obtaining the Staff of Ice.
If you find yourself short on funds or Gobblegums, you can craft the staff by collecting three essential parts and protecting the construction process. Below is a detailed guide to locating each component needed to assemble the Staff of Ice.
Locating the Ice Staff Monocle

To begin your quest, defeat a Shock Mimic to obtain the Monocle, the first of the three required parts. This enemy will make its appearance around round eight, disguising itself as an item on the ground. Approaching the decoy will trigger it to transform back into a Shock Mimic. After taking it down, the Monocle will drop as a guaranteed reward, so ensure to collect it promptly.
Finding the Staff Piece

The next essential piece is the Staff part, which you can obtain by solving a bull mural located in the northwestern section of The Tomb. To activate the mural, you need to shoot the glowing purple flames scattered around the room until a torch lights above the mural itself. These torches respawn periodically, so patience may be required.
Once the mural is activated, it will display various Roman numeral icons that you must shoot in sequential order from one to eight, as illustrated in the image above. Successfully completing this action will spawn a purple orb and trigger four waves of zombies, including elite variants, that you must fend off. Once the waves are defeated, the Staff part will emerge for you to collect.
Obtaining the Ice Staff Head Piece

Acquiring the Head Piece follows a similar pattern, requiring you to interact with the hunter mural in the southwestern part of the map. Start by lighting the surrounding torches until the mural glows, then shoot the Roman numerals from one to ten as depicted in the previous image. This will also lead to another series of zombie waves that need to be defeated to secure the Head Piece.
Constructing the Ice Staff in Black Ops 6 Zombies

After successfully gathering all three parts, head to the Dark Aether by entering any of the four portals available. Then, interact with the central stone structure to assemble the Staff. Be ready to fend off zombie hordes attacking during the assembly process; if the artifacts sustain too much damage, you may need to restart the wave entirely. Once constructed, one player can claim the Staff of Ice for use against the undead.
