Instead of spending 50 Fighter Coins (equivalent to approximately US$1) to buy Akuma’s Outfit 2 in Street Fighter 6, you can acquire it for free by becoming Akuma’s apprentice in World Tour Mode and increasing his Bond Level to 100. You can easily navigate to any step of the process using the table of contents above.

How to Become Akuma’s Student in Street Fighter 6 World Tour Mode

To participate in Street Fighter 6’s World Tour Mode as Akuma’s disciple, you must first trigger the “Master of the Styles” side quest and complete it in order to unlock the “The Murderous Demon” side quest. This will grant you the opportunity to become Akuma’s student.

Master of the Styles

In order to begin Master of the Styles, it is recommended that you have already studied under Manon and JP. While Manon is not mandatory, she is easily accessible in France. JP can also be your mentor (located in the Nayshall arena at night) after you finish Chapter 15-1 of the story. Additionally, it is recommended that you be at least Level 70, but ideally closer to or above Level 80.

To access Master of the Styles, you must have Akuma unlocked. This can be achieved by purchasing the Year 1 Character Pass, the Ultimate Pass, or by buying him separately for 350 Fighter Coins (equivalent to approximately US$7).

After unlocking Akuma, you can access Metro City during the daytime in World Tour Mode. In this mode, a new quest will become available and can be identified by the teal crown icon on the map. Follow the icon to a flier that is posted on a wall and interact with it. This will prompt you to make your way to the SiRN building.

At SiRN building, speak with Steven who will guide you to the R&D floor. From there, take the elevator in the center of the floor to the fifth floor. You will recognize it as the correct elevator because it is labeled as the fifth floor elevator.

On the fifth floor, you can engage in a battle with SiRN staff member Liu and his three Copy Fighters. These fighters are at Levels 77 and 78, and you must use particular moves to defeat them.

  • Luke’s Flash Knuckle must defeat one Copy Fighter.
  • Manon’s Manège Doré has to defeat one Copy Fighter.
  • JP’s Stribog must defeat at least one Copy Fighter.

As a student of Manon and JP, you have the ability to equip their unique moves onto your fighter. In World Tour Mode, Luke serves as your initial teacher, allowing you to automatically equip his Flash Knuckle special move.

To obtain the three Data Chip items, you must defeat each Copy Fighter using the move they request. After collecting all three Data Chips, return to Liu. He will inform you that he intends to bestow Akuma’s legendary style upon one of his Copy Fighters and suggests seeking out Retsu at Genbu Temple in Japan.

The Murderous Demon

Visit Retsu at Genbu Temple in Japan to learn about and unlock the newly discovered area, Enma’s Hollow. Once you arrive at Enma’s Hollow, a cutscene will play featuring Akuma. After the cutscene, Akuma will have disappeared.

Once you have returned to Genbu Temple, speak with Retsu once more before heading back to Enma’s Hollow. There, engage Akuma in a fight, as he will challenge you without delay. Despite his Level 80 strength, he may become disinterested and withdraw from the battle.

To continue, return to Genbu Temple and speak with Retsu. He will instruct you to face your mentors, Ryu and Luke. Begin with Ryu, who is currently at Genbu Temple and at Level 80. However, with powerful gear, you can defeat him at Level 70.

Time to return to Enma’s Hollow and face off against Akuma once more. As always, he will likely flee in the midst of the battle. After that, make your way to Metro City and speak with Luke to issue a challenge and emerge victorious. Keep in mind that Luke is a formidable foe at Level 80.

After that, the next step is returning to Enma’s Hollow. Confront Akuma once more. When his health reaches about half, he will stop the fight, not to flee, but to acknowledge your determination and accept you as his student.

The completion of The Murderous Demon side quest allows you to move on to the Master of the Styles side quest. If you wish to undertake this quest, you can head back to Liu at the SiRN building. He will ask you to defeat his Copy Fighters using Akuma’s moves, which will require increasing Akuma’s Style Level. However, completing this quest will not contribute towards obtaining Akuma’s Outfit 2. Therefore, if your main goal is to obtain Akuma’s Outfit 2, you can choose to postpone this side quest and focus on that first.

How to Get Akuma’s Bond Level to 100

To reach Bond Level 100 and permanently unlock Akuma’s Outfit 2, simply give him his preferred gifts until he reaches the maximum level. This is the easiest method to achieve a Bond Level of 100 with Akuma.

Obtaining Akuma’s 40-Point Gift

In order to obtain the Fishing Hook, which gives Akuma 40 Bond points, you must first complete the Shadaloo side quests The Busybody Decoy and Into The Shadows. This item cannot be obtained without completing these quests.

To begin The Busybody Decoy, head to Metro City during the evening and track the quest marker (the teal icon with a crown) to the alleyway located west of the park. Speak with Experimental Subject Lee there, who will start the quest by requesting that you engage in fights around the town.

Utilize the quest markers to locate the individuals you must battle, until you are approached by a Shadaloo scout. Battle and emerge victorious against the Shadaloo scout, who is less powerful than Akuma whom you recently had to face.

After emerging victorious against the scout, be sure to go back to Lee so you can unlock the next side quest.

Into The Shadows in Shadaloo

According to Lee, you are to infiltrate the newly discovered Shadaloo base. Let him know when you are prepared to leave and you will be transported to a damaged Shadaloo base where you will engage in multiple back-to-back battles. The enemies you will face are approximately Level 75.

Once the battles have concluded, take the opportunity to explore the base. You will come across several spots with items and a treasure chest. Gather the confidential documents from the treasure chest and bring them back to Lee. He will then reward you with your items, such as the Fishing Hook, after you hand over the documents.

The Fishing Hook is a valuable tool for increasing Akuma’s Bond Level by 40, significantly accelerating the process of reaching his maximum bond level. It can also help save you a considerable amount of money, as Akuma has a particular preference for gifts and can be quite picky about them.

Buying Natto for Akuma

Akuma is among the few fighters who have a dislike for Prepaid Cards. However, if you want to quickly raise his Bond Level, Natto is the most effective item to give him. Each Natto costs a hefty 4550 zenny, more than twice the price of a Prepaid Card, but it will ultimately save you time as Prepaid Cards are better spent on other fighters who gain 2 Bond Levels from them.

In order to purchase Natto, simply approach the merchant located at Genbu Temple, close to where Retsu and Ryu are situated. If you have already given Akuma the Fishing Hook, it is necessary to buy 30 Natto in order to reach his maximum Bond Level. Once this level has been achieved, his Outfit 2 will be unlocked! Don’t forget to also unlock Ed’s and A.K.I.’s Outfit 2 if you have not done so already.
