Unlocking All Godlike Powers in Avowed: A Complete Guide

As a Godlike in Avowed, you have the extraordinary ability to communicate with Sapadal, which unlocks unique powers as you progress through the game’s narrative. In addition to this, players can discover five additional blessings by locating Ancient Memories hidden throughout the various regions of the game.

These Ancient Memories are concealed with the same level of intrigue as other treasures found in the expansive Living Lands.

The first Ancient Memory you will encounter is the Remembrance of Kishamal, located conveniently along the main narrative path. During the mission titled “An Untimely End, ”you’ll be directed to meet an individual known as the Watcher, who will evaluate your readiness for the upcoming challenges in the story.

This Ancient Memory is situated just south of the Watcher’s cabin, which itself lies northeast of Paradis and slightly southeast of The Rise.

To uncover the Memory, traverse the path leading to the Watcher until you reach a small, cave-like formation. Proceed into the cave and explore to find a garden featuring a large pond at its heart. Navigate through the pond to a ledge overlooking a cliff, where you will spot a small star symbolizing the Ancient Memory. Interact with it to initiate a cutscene and acquire your Godlike Ability.

This ability is known as the Remembrance of Kishamal, which passively boosts your maximum health by 10%.

Finding the second Godlike Ability, the Remembrance of Enhekala, is a bit trickier than the first, but it remains relatively accessible if you know where to look.

This Ancient Memory is hidden at a Ranger Outpost located in the Wildwoods, to the west of Fior mes Iverno. You’ll find it at the pinnacle of the outpost, providing a vantage point over the surrounding area. Be prepared to engage a few enemies here, though they should not pose a significant challenge.

In contrast to the previous two Ancient Memories, the Shatterscarp Memory presents a more formidable challenge. Located in the Great Sand Sea, this Memory is found atop a Xaurip settlement situated northwest of the Sand Sea Oasis.

This settlement is populated with Xaurips, including the notorious Chieftain Grithin, who has a bounty on his head. You will need to defeat him and his minions to reach the Remembrance of Nimanna.

The fourth Ancient Memory can be found near the western edge of the map, just south of the Slumbering Fields at Galanain’s Tusks. To access it, navigate to the Restless Cavern and venture into a small tunnel, turning left until you reach the end where you will emerge onto a ledge. The Ancient Memory awaits you there.

Interacting with this Ancient Memory rewards you with the Remembrance of Maru, which is a passive ability improving your Attack Damage by 10%.This upgrade is particularly impactful during the late-game phase when stronger weapons and armor become increasingly expensive.

The final Ancient Memory is situated within the Garden, known for being one of the game’s most extensive and challenging encounters. It can be found midway through the area, nestled between Giatta and Yatzli’s individual obstacles. If you inadvertently reach Yatzli’s Library, you will have to backtrack.

Shortly after overcoming Giatta’s challenge, you will face multiple waves of adversaries. Once they are defeated, head to the rear left of the space to discover a set of doors. Open these doors to claim the Remembrance of Sapadal, which grants health regeneration when your health falls below 50%.

This Memory is incredibly valuable; however, like the Shatterscarp Memory, it entails a substantial battle. Upon obtaining the Memory, you will re-enter the Garden where two Maegfolc enemies will reanimate. The Godlike Ability you recently acquired will prove useful during this encounter, especially when facing both at once.

Opting to bypass the Memory allows you to avoid the Maegfolc; however, the Remembrance of Sapadal is a crucial capability that can significantly enhance your performance during the climactic chapters of the game. Thus, it’s a pursuit worth the associated risk.
