Scarlet is one of the four heroes available from the beginning, and completing Chapter 1 with her unlocks Aladdin. At nightfall, she transforms into a werewolf, gaining new abilities through the Lycanthrope trait. • Starting Health: 80
  • Trait: Infestation
  • Unlock Requirement: None

The Pied Piper utilizes his magical flute to send out enchanting notes that damage enemies from a distance. While he may not deliver the highest damage initially, he is relatively easy to play due to his ranged combat capabilities. Additionally, he can summon up to 20 rats that follow him, allowing him to command them to eliminate or finish off enemies.

Beowulf

  • Starting Health: 120
  • Trait: Last Wyrm
  • Unlock Requirement: None

As one of the hardest-hitting heroes available, Beowulf wields a large sword that delivers powerful strikes at a slower pace. He can summon his Wyrm, which enhances his damage output and defense capabilities. Continuously buffing Beowulf with Wyrm transforms him into a fierce damage dealer, making him a prime melee choice.

The Snow Queen

  • Starting Health: 90
  • Trait: Ice Crown
  • Unlock Requirement: None

The Snow Queen is a mobile character capable of dealing damage from a distance while maintaining high mobility. Although her damage output is lower than other default characters, she can apply the “CHILLED” status to enemies, slowing their movement speed by over 40%. She can also obliterate CHILLED enemies using her Ice Crown trait, making her an exceptional co-op character.

Aladdin

None

  • Starting Health: 100
  • Trait: Jinniya of the Lamp
  • Unlock Requirement: Complete Chapter 1 with Scarlet

Although Aladdin begins relatively weak, he evolves into one of the top characters in the game. His Jinniya of the Lamp trait enhances his power, special abilities, or defense. With a rapid melee attack that culminates in an area-of-effect hit and the Ring Jinn power that summons a Jinn for substantial damage, Aladdin’s strength escalates with effective team coordination for shared bonuses.

Melusine

  • Starting Health: 90
  • Trait: Siren’s Call
  • Unlock Requirement: Complete Chapter 1 with The Pied Piper

Melusine presents a challenge to control due to her Siren’s Call trait, which alternates between SING and MOVE stances. While in SING, she cannot move, making her susceptible to damage, thus requiring tactical positioning.

Her defensive skill, allowing her to dive into water and become intangible temporarily, adds depth to her gameplay. With practice, Melusine can inflict substantial damage, taking advantage of Wisp’s ability to target multiple foes.

Geppetto

None

  • Starting Health: 80
  • Trait: Dummy
  • Unlock Requirement: Complete Chapter 1 with Beowulf

Geppetto is one of the most entertaining characters in Ravenswatch due to his Dummy trait. He can create up to three dummies that can attack, distract, and explode. Geppetto can heal his dummies with his special Cogsplosion, also dealing damage to nearby enemies.

Using Meca-Puppet Ultimate allows him to summon a giant Puppet that damages all enemies in sight, making his playstyle engaging and effective for those who love minion-based gameplay.

Sun Wukong

None

  • Starting Health: 110
  • Trait: Taiji
  • Unlock Requirement: Complete Chapter 1 with The Snow Queen

Sun Wukong is another character that utilizes stances, toggling between Yin and Yang. As a highly cooperative hero, his Yin state provides all teammates with a 15 shield for 6 seconds—a crucial advantage in intense battles.

During Yang, he experiences a 100% boost in damage at the cost of taking double damage, which complicates his survival, especially early in the game. Utilizing Empty Palm is imperative, allowing him to block incoming hits momentarily. If you’re new to Ravenswatch, it’s advisable to start with different characters until you better understand enemy attack patterns before experimenting with Sun Wukong.

Carmilla

None

  • Starting Health: 100
  • Trait: Dhampir
  • Unlock Requirement: Complete Chapter 1 with Aladdin, Melusine, Gepetto, or Sun Wukong

The newest character in Ravenswatch is Carmilla, a vampire who uses Blood to enhance her abilities. She’s somewhat of a glass cannon, dealing significant damage but requiring careful management of her Blood resource, which can be replaced by health if depleted.

Resource management is crucial for Carmilla’s playstyle. Thankfully, both Tearing and Death Kiss skills allow her to regain Blood, creating a dynamic between using powers and ensuring a steady resource flow—resulting in a rewarding experience once mastered.

These are all the heroes currently unlockable in Ravenswatch following the 1.0 release. The game offers a diverse range of playstyles, providing opportunities for dozens of hours of gameplay as you master each hero and unlock their unique talents and skins.
