It is a vast world to explore in Satisfactory, making it crucial to prioritize the unlocking of navigation tools and traversal items. Below is a guide on how to unlock and open the map in Satisfactory.

How to Unlock the Map in Satisfactory

The map is initially unavailable in Satisfactory. Players must unlock it by completing the Tier 1 Field Research Milestone.

  • First, interact with the HUD Terminal at your base and select the Field Research milestone from the Tier 1 tab.

  • To complete the Field Research Milestone, players need to generate the following resources:
    • 300 Wire
    • 300 Screw
    • 100 Iron Plate
  • These resources can be easily generated in the early hours of gameplay, and players will likely have plenty left over.
  • Once you have gathered the resources, deliver them to the HUD Terminal to complete the Field Research milestone. This grants access to the Map and unlocks the following tools:
    • I HAVE
    • Object Scanner
    • Personal Storage Box
    • +3 Inventory Slots

How to Use the Map in Satisfactory
