Once you finish playing Black Myth: Wukong for the initial time, the journey isn’t over. It’s now time to dive back in and start a New Game Plus.
In New Game Plus, players are able to retain specific collectibles and unlockables from their first playthrough to help them tackle a higher difficulty level than the one experienced in their initial playthrough.
Starting a NG+ run in Black Myth: Wukong will take you beyond the beginner stage and allow you to fully immerse yourself in round two of this action RPG, honing your combat skills even further.
How to Unlock New Game Plus
To gain access to New Game Plus in Black Myth: Wukong, you must first complete all six chapters. Once they are completed, you can select the ‘Enter a New Cycle’ option from the main menu.
From that point on, you will begin your NG+ playthrough from the beginning of the game. However, if you would rather not begin a NG+ save and would prefer to start a regular new game, you can choose the ‘New Journey’ option instead.
What do you get to keep in New Game Plus?
When starting NG+ in Black Myth: Wukong, there are several things that will carry over from your previous game. Here is a comprehensive list of what you can expect to keep:
- Unlocked Skills
- Your Character Level
- Armor (with upgrades) and weapons
- Spells (with upgrades)
- Curios
- Vessels
- Relics
Although you will retain your current Character Level, unlocked Skills, and possessions such as armor, weapons, Spells, Curios, Vessels, and Relics, you will need to part with any additional collected items.
These omitted items consist of any consumables that you have bought and all the crafting materials that were acquired during your previous gameplay.
New Game Plus
The NG+ playthrough includes a few alterations in comparison to the normal difficulty. Below are all the known new features thus far.
- New craftable weapons
- Armor upgradeable through Shrines
- Freed Mind Relic granted
Once you have initiated a NG+ playthrough in Black Myth: Wukong, you will be able to revisit the entire adventure and obtain all available achievements in the game.
