Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Season 6 have introduced an exciting new animated camouflage called Cloud Watching. However, acquiring this camo is quite the challenge.
The Haunting update has brought a wealth of new content, ranging from Halloween-themed crossovers to the addition of the DTIR 30-06 Battle Rifle. Additionally, it features various camos to customize your weapons in anticipation of the upcoming Black Ops 6 integration.
How to Unlock Cloud Watching Camo
To unlock the Cloud Watching camo in Warzone and MW3, you must complete all eight challenges of the Purgatory Island event. While the skin can be utilized in both games, all objectives must be completed in the new Purgatory mode available in Warzone, which is set on a terrifying version of Rebirth Island.
Here’s a detailed list of the challenges you need to accomplish:
- Reach Torment Level 2.
- Spend 5 minutes outside the Safe Zone without eliminating another Operator.
- Achieve 50 Mercenary kills using the Terriball or while in a vehicle.
- Commend 5 Operators while in the Safe Zone.
- Eliminate 5 Operators while in a vehicle.
- Secure 3 Operator kills using the Terriball.
- Teleport 15 times using Portals.
- Pilot the Flying Shipment.
Many of these objectives can be completed simply by playing Purgatory; however, some are tougher and require additional effort. If you’re having trouble completing all eight challenges, here’s a guide to help with the more challenging tasks.
How to Pilot the Flying Shipment
In Purgatory mode, the Shipment multiplayer map can be seen floating on an island in the sky. To pilot it, interact with the glowing pink control panel located in a hollowed-out container in the center of the map, which can easily be overlooked as it’s stacked on another container.
A more straightforward way to access it is to land on the adjacent container immediately after exiting the helicopter, then jump across.
As you approach the console, you will receive a prompt to “Take the Helm.” By interacting with it, you can maneuver the entire island across the sky and even control its altitude.
How to Increase Torment Level
Increasing your Torment level is as simple as earning kills. The higher your level, the more XP you’ll gain for each elimination or by surviving to the next circle.
However, be aware that players with a higher Torment level are visible on the map, so expect other squads to target you.
How to Commend a Player
To Commend a player in Warzone, simply approach someone within a Safe Zone and hit the interact button. This action grants you a small amount of XP and helps fulfill one of your eight Cloud Watching camo challenges.
Safe Zones are marked by a large purple bubble, making them easy to identify upon landing. You’ll know you’re safely inside when your camera switches from first-person to third-person view.
Keep in mind that while in these areas, other players cannot inflict damage upon you, but there are no weapons or loot available. After issuing your Commendation, it’s advisable to return to the action and gather loot.
