Akimbo shotguns once ruled the roost in Call of Duty, particularly with the notorious Model 1887 – which has resurfaced as the JAK Wardens – reigning supreme in multiplayer scenarios. However, this trend has waned in newer titles, likely due to the impracticality of dual-wielding shotguns in real combat situations.
Nonetheless, this aftermarket accessory defies realism by offering a dual-wield conversion for the modern rendition of the SPAS-12. These shotguns are described as “mobile artillery barrage,”emphasizing “maximized destruction”with a trade-off in accuracy and recoil control.
Before you can equip the JAK Devastators into your loadouts, you’ll need to unlock them. Here’s how to do it.
How to Unlock the JAK Devastators Conversion Kit
You can unlock the JAK Devastators in MW3 and Warzone by completing five weekly challenges from Season 5, Week 8. These challenges can be tackled across multiplayer, Warzone, Zombies, or a combination of all three modes.
Here are the weekly challenges for Week 8 that you can complete to gain access to the JAK Devastators. Those in bold are recommended for a quicker unlock:
Multiplayer Challenges
These tasks can be completed in any multiplayer game mode:
- Achieve 20 Operator Akimbo Kills.
- Secure 10 Operator Headshot Kills using pistols or SMGs.
- Obtain 5 Kills against blinded or stunned Operators using SMGs.
- Execute 2 Operator Clean Kills in one life, twice.
- Earn 10 Operator Kills post-reloading with assault rifles.
- Attain 15 Operator Clean Kills while aiming down sights with a shotgun.
- Gain 8 Operator Clean Kills with marksman or sniper rifles.
Zombies Challenges
These objectives can be completed in MWZ, with kills across all zones contributing:
- Achieve 150 Akimbo Kills.
- Secure 250 Critical Kills with a pistol.
- Get 50 Mercenary Kills using an SMG.
- Make 10 Kills without being hit in 30 attempts.
- Obtain 100 Kills post-reloading with assault rifles.
- Achieve 200 Kills while aiming down sights with a shotgun.
- Eliminate 10 Zombies without taking damage 20 times using marksman or sniper rifles.
Battle Royale Challenges
Complete these tasks in any Warzone game mode:
- In Warzone Urzikstan, open 20 Loot Caches in the North-West region (Resort, Power, Seaport, Cargo).
- In Warzone Urzikstan, open 20 Loot Caches in the Southern region (City, Suburbs, Manor).
- In Warzone Urzikstan, open 20 Loot Caches in the Eastern Region (Military Base or Farms).
- In Warzone Urzikstan, open 20 Loot Caches in the Central Region (Old Town, Low Town).
- Rank in the Top 10 in Warzone three times.
- Obtain 5 Operator Kills or Kill Assists in Warzone.
- Complete 10 Contracts in Warzone.
