When starting a new NBA 2K game, players must again discover which shot meter settings work most effectively for them. This process begins with understanding where to make these adjustments.
In NBA 2K25, the shot meter timing provides players with a reliable indication of their shot’s success rate. While a perfectly timed shot guarantees a perfect release, it is not necessary for scoring as other shots also have a high probability of success.
The shot indicator takes into account not only the timing of a player’s jump shot, but also their level of openness. Since each professional has their own distinct shooting form, the timing may differ. Likewise, players have individual shooting preferences.
