Preparing to Become Terry’s Disciple in Street Fighter 6 World Tour Mode
To obtain Terry’s Outfit 2 for free in World Tour Mode, you’ll need to become his disciple and elevate his Bond Level to 100. Before you can start the quest to become Terry’s disciple, make sure you have completed the following prerequisites:
- Become Ryu’s disciple, which is part of the World Tour Mode storyline.
- Complete Chapter 11-4.
- Purchase the Terry DLC. You can do this by acquiring him for 350 Fighter Coins (approximately US$7), or by buying the Season 2 Character Pass (US$30) or Season 2 Ultimate Pass (US$50), neither of which can be acquired with Fighter Coins.
How to Become Terry’s Disciple in Street Fighter 6 World Tour Mode
Once you have satisfied the necessary requirements, enter World Tour Mode to receive a notification about the Knock Out Festival. To commence the activities linked to the festival, go to your hangout in Metro City, where you can switch between day and night. A new option, “One Fateful Day,” will appear. Selecting this will allow you to transition between World Tour and Knock Out Festival, the latter being a smaller section within World Tour with three maps that relate to Terry.
Select Knock Out Festival and proceed to Metro City. This location includes Beat Square. Speak to Alice, who will provide you with a Knock Out Festival hat. Wear the hat and defeat the three other characters donning the same hat, as indicated by the quest markers on your map. These characters reference Fatal Fury characters, such as Duck Queen (referring to Duck King) and Mr. Maximum (referring to Michael Max). During one of your battles, Terry will intervene with a cutscene, after which you need to defeat any remaining opponents.
Once you have successfully defeated all three opponents, you will be taken to Pao Pao Cafe 6, which gets added to your list of accessible locations. There, you must win a 3v3, King of Fighters-style match against Andres (a nod to Andy), Marilyn (a reference to Blue Mary), and George Azuma (a reference to Joe, which will play a crucial role later). You’ll be in control of Thrasher Damnd, Rudra, and your personal fighter. While all other characters will be Level 45, your character will remain at your normal level, making this battle potentially easier if you’ve been completing missions in standard World Tour Mode. Obtaining Terry’s Most Loved Item, The Knights of Fantasia
The Knights of Fantasia is Terry’s most cherished item, raising his Bond Level by an impressive 40. To acquire this item, you’ll need to complete two quests. Start by returning to Beat Square and speaking with Joe Higashi (he will have a quest marker on the map). After your conversation, he will instruct you to talk to Blue Mary nearby. Blue Mary asks you to purchase a Standard T-Shirt from the clothing store right beside her, as she feels embarrassed that Joe typically doesn’t wear a shirt.
After buying the Standard T-Shirt, speak to her again and follow her to Pao Pao Cafe 6. Here, Joe will confront his “imposter” George Azuma but expresses happiness upon learning George admires him. Completing this interaction ends the first of the two quests, but be sure to talk to Joe once more to learn his Hurricane Upper special move for your character.
Your next task is to return to Beat Square. Locate the food vendor marked with a quest marker, who will inform you about a stray dog nearby. Give the stray dog a Flight Ticket to make him happy. The dog will then leave… to Pao Pao Cafe 6. This dog is actually Blue Mary’s pet. Head back to Pao Pao Cafe 6 and speak with Blue Mary. She will thank you for returning her dog and, as a reward, present you with the NEO-GEO game The Knights of Fantasia, which raises Terry’s Bond Level by 40 when gifted to him. (Blue Mary will also teach your character her classic move, Vertical Arrow.)
How to Obtain Terry’s Liked Item, Canvas Shoes
The item Canvas Shoes will raise Terry’s Bond Level by 5. While this represents a significant decrease from The Knights of Fantasia’s 40, you can farm Canvas Shoes more readily. Merchant Hawker in Pao Pao Cafe 6 will drop the item when you hit him with five (5) Super Arts in a single match, which can occur with one Super Art that lands five or more hits.
Other Items and Methods to Raise Terry’s Bond Level
There are several additional methods to increase Terry’s Bond Level. First, leveling up Terry’s Style will unlock conversations and sparring opportunities with him that can further enhance his Bond Level. To level up Terry’s Style, equip his style on your character in the status menu and engage in battles with NPCs using Terry’s Style in World Tour Mode. It’s beneficial to improve Terry’s Style to Level 18 to unlock a mission that allows access to Genbu Temple in this One Fateful Day scenario, leading to a meetup between Terry and Ryu.
Terry also gains 2 Bond Levels when presented with a Prepaid Card.
