Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 Season 6 marks the final seasonal update before Black Ops 6, introducing two new weapons, including the DTIR 30-06.
This new Battle Rifle is designed for long-range combat and aims to compete with popular meta guns such as the STG44 and TAQ Eradicator, which were dominant throughout Season 5.
How to Obtain the DTIR 30-06 in MW3 & Warzone
Players can unlock the DTIR 30-06 by completing Sector 6 of the Season 6 Battle Pass, which goes live in MW3 and Warzone on September 18. As is customary, there will be four sub-rewards to claim before gaining access to the new Battle Rifle, requiring a total of five BP Tokens.
The exciting news is that new weapons are free rewards, allowing players to unlock and start leveling up the DTIR 30-06 even without purchasing the full Battle Pass.
The DTIR is set to debut as part of The Haunting season in both games.
If you’re contemplating the grind for this “hard-hitting” rifle, developers have shared a comprehensive description to help you maximize its potential.
“Its slow fire rate assists in conserving ammo while maintaining accuracy, delivering heavy damage with each shot,” the developers stated in the Season 6 blog. “Equip a scope to engage enemies from afar, enhance its ammo capacity with a larger magazine, and increase handling speeds by utilizing various ergonomic designs.”
Only time will determine if the DTIR 30-06 can challenge the existing meta guns, but newly introduced weapons tend to be powerful initially, so it’s likely to dominate matches when Season 6 begins.
Regardless, it’s definitely worth unlocking as it will be carried over to the upcoming version of Warzone when it integrates with Black Ops 6 in Season 1.
