Unlocking the PPSh-41 in Black Ops 6 and Warzone: A Step-by-Step Guide

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 introduces an exciting new Zombies map called The Tomb. In addition to this, players can look forward to unlocking new weapons, notably the iconic PPSh-41, which makes its debut in both Warzone and multiplayer modes.

Treyarch has confirmed that alongside the launch of The Tomb map, a classic Zombies weapon would be available this season. After much anticipation, it has been revealed that the PPSh-41 will take center stage, making it a formidable choice for engagements in both multiplayer and Zombies mode. This weapon is expected to excel in close-range combat, giving players an edge when it becomes available.

Unlocking the PPSh-41 SMG in Warzone & Black Ops 6

The PPSh-41 can be unlocked by progressing to Page 6 of the Warzone and Black Ops 6 Season 2 Battle Pass. The process is entirely free; all players need to do is earn enough experience points to access this page. If you’re unable to unlock it during Season 2, you can still acquire the weapon later through the Armory.

The Season 2 Battle Pass launches on Tuesday, January 28, so ensure that you complete Season 1 before it fades away.

The PPSh-41 is not a newcomer to the franchise; it has been a staple in every Call of Duty title set in the World War II era, as well as in titles like Black Ops 3 and Black Ops Cold War. With a rapid fire rate and commendable damage output, it’s poised to become a key player in close-range situations.

However, users should take caution, as the developers noted that the weapon may exhibit “unpredictable recoil,” suggesting that players will be most effective when engaging at close distances. In multiplayer settings, it might be advantageous to pair the PPSh-41 with the newly introduced Cypher 091 or Feng 82, both of which are also available in Season 2. Additionally, players can look forward to unlocking the TR2, commonly referred to as the FAL, through a special event.

This season will feature less content than previous ones, as the development team has prioritized fine-tuning gameplay, enhancing quality of life, addressing bugs, and reinforcing anti-cheat measures. Notably, Season 2 will include updates to the kernel-level driver, with further enhancements anticipated in Season 3.
