On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, a new promotional video announced the production of Unnamed Memory season 2 and confirmed its release for January 2025. The video also revealed a key visual featuring protagonist Tinasha sleeping in a bed, surrounded by red and blue leaves/petals and accompanied by some Japanese text.
The announcement of Unnamed Memory season 2 follows the conclusion of the first season’s 12th and final episode, which aired on Tuesday. Memory Season 2 Confirmed for January 2025 Release in New Trailer Briefly Recapping Season 1
The promotional video for season 2 of The Unnamed Memory also does not give any hints at new scenes from the upcoming season. Instead, the teaser trailer, which is 15 seconds long, revisits important moments from the first season in a flashback-like manner. After showcasing these scenes, the trailer then announces the confirmation of the second season and its expected release in January 2025, before ending.
Fortunately, fans can anticipate receiving more details within the next few months, most likely through the release of a full trailer as the confirmed release window approaches. It is even possible that this upcoming trailer will unveil the official release date, as the current release window only specifies the month of January in 2025.
This is further evidenced by the fact that the second season’s announcement was made on the same day as the conclusion of the first season, indicating that it had been planned for a while. As a result, fans can anticipate a full-length trailer for the second season at an earlier date than usual.
