Unveiling the Link between Nami’s Post-Timeskip Teacher and Vegapunk in One Piece Chapter 1125

One of the unique aspects of One Piece is that seemingly minor characters can suddenly become central to the story at any moment. This was once again demonstrated in chapter 1125, as the spoilers reveal that the franchise continues to surprise its audience by featuring a potentially significant subplot involving Haredas. Although he may only be remembered by dedicated fans as the Merlin-like scientist who aided Nami during the two-year timeskip, Haredas has now taken on a more prominent role in the narrative.

It has been revealed in the leaked One Piece chapter 1125 that Haredas and Dr Vegapunk have a long-standing relationship. This could potentially lead to interesting new developments as their friendship is rekindled. As always, One Piece author Eiichiro Oda continues to captivate and surprise fans with his intricate and unpredictable fictional universe.

Oda seamlessly weaves One Piece’s worldbuilding with the fundamental themes of his story, creating a cohesive and dynamic portrayal of a realistic and constantly evolving world. The series boasts a multitude of diverse characters, including the Straw Hats, their friends, allies, and foes. Each character has their own unique traits and interactions, which directly and indirectly impact the main plot, just as Haredas is about to do.

Possible Role of Weatheria’s Haredas in the Final Saga of One Piece

Currently, Haredas is seen as an elderly man with a lengthy, snowy beard and hair. His attire consists of a flowing robe, which, when paired with his appearance, gives him the appearance of a true wizard. Throughout his lifetime, Haredas has dedicated himself to the study of meteorology, and his most notable scientific accomplishment was contributing to the construction of the man-made floating island, Weatheria.

Before the timeskip, Haredas met Nami, who had been dispatched to Weatheria by Bartholomew Kuma. The friendly and amiable old scientist accompanied Nami as she explored the island and its extraordinary surroundings. He also taught her how to manipulate different types of wind phenomena using a wind knot.

Despite Nami’s attempts to manipulate him with false tears and theft of scientific equipment, resulting in her being imprisoned, Haredas showed mercy and released the “Cat Burglar”. This was due to the tragic news of the death of Portgas D. Ace, Nami’s captain’s brother. Haredas then took on the role of Nami’s instructor for the next two years, teaching her how to control the weather.

Haredas, along with the rest of the Weatheria residents, instructed Nami on the usage of Weather Balls, which allowed her to integrate them into her Clima-Tact. When the Straw Hat crew eventually gathered at Sabaody, Haredas and his companions accompanied Nami there.

Haredas and Vegapunk’s Unexpected Talk in the Latest Chapter

Scheduled for an official release on Monday, September 9, 2024, on the Shueisha’s MANGA Plus website and app, One Piece chapter 1125 is anticipated to deliver thrilling events. As the story transitions from the resolution of the Egghead Incident to the Straw Hat crew’s journey to Elbaf, the chapter will delve into various scenarios, including one that centers around Haredas.

In One Piece chapter 1125, it is revealed that Dr Vegapunk has passed away and the Straw Hat Pirates have left. As a result, the World Government is making plans to seize control of Egghead’s Power Plant and Punk Records. Vegapunk York, who had betrayed her fellow Vegapunks in order to gain a chance to become a Celestial Dragon, is shown to be especially pleased by this development.

Nevertheless, York quickly becomes aware of an anomalous aspect of Punk Records: the upper portion of Egghead’s Labophase, specifically the area where Dr. Vegapunk kept his brain. Despite York’s observations, he is unable to intervene before Punk Records separates from Egghead and takes flight.

Soon after, the release of One Piece chapter 1125 confirms that Vegapunk Shaka, Vegapunk Edison, Vegapunk Pythagoras, and Vegapunk Atlas have remained alive. They are currently residing in Punk Records, soaring over the ocean. Together, they utilize Edison’s head, Shaka’s body and legs, Atlas’ left arm, and Pythagoras’ right arm to construct a new physical form where their consciousnesses are united, yet they are able to communicate separately.

Pythagoras points out that despite carrying Punk Records with them, they are unable to invent anything due to the constraints of their budget and materials. To this, Edison responds:

“That’s where our friend comes in!”

After mentioning his friend, Haredas, Edison proceeds to make a call. He greets the old scientist by saying:

“Hello, Weatheria! This is Vegapunk here.”

Understandably taken aback by the sudden news of Vegapunk’s death spreading worldwide, Haredas inquires about Edison’s intentions. However, before any further details can be revealed, the scene abruptly shifts.

Eiichiro Oda once again proved his mastery of storytelling by successfully incorporating a seemingly insignificant character, Haredas, into the final saga. As always, One Piece delighted its fans with unexpected surprises. The logical connection between Vegapunk and Haredas, given their scientific knowledge, was a perfect addition to the narrative.

It is evident that the Vegapunks are leaving Egghead on their flying Punk Records and heading towards the sky island of Weatheria. This seems like the perfect destination for them, given the good relationship between Haredas and Vegapunk. In fact, Vegapunk Edison openly referred to Haredas as his friend and expressed confidence in his support. Similarly, Haredas promptly responded to Vegapunk’s request.

It is only fair to mention that One Piece had previously hinted at the connection between Vegapunk and Haredas. The laboratory in Egghead, belonging to Vegapunk, is situated on an artificial Island Cloud that bears a striking resemblance to Weatheria. Additionally, the enormous, cracked, egg-shaped building on the Island Cloud serves as a reminder of the impact of Weatheria’s Weather Balls, which were unleashed by Nami’s Sorcery Clima-Tact.

In terms of appearance, Egghead seems to be a replica of Weatheria, suggesting a possible link between Vegapunk and Haredas. This is evident when he showed kindness towards Nami, despite her initial unfriendly attitude towards him, revealing Haredas’ deeply compassionate and kind nature.

Additionally, Haredas’ compassion was evident when he expressed his belief that technology should be utilized for the protection of humanity. He was taken aback by Nami’s suggestion of utilizing the Weather Balls as weapons, leading him to potentially respond favorably to Vegapunk Edison’s appeal for assistance.

Interestingly, Haredas lacks knowledge on the workings of money. Therefore, unless Nami has educated him on the subject, he is not the ideal individual for the Vegapunks to approach for financial support for their inventions.

Despite this, it will be intriguing to discover the Vegapunks’ intentions. Given the information revealed by Vegapunk during the Egghead Incident, it is possible that they aim to construct something that will counter the World Government’s scheme to submerge the One Piece world.

Haredas’ participation could potentially lead to Nami reclaiming her place in the spotlight. Despite being one of the original three members of the Straw Hat crew, along with Luffy and Zoro, Nami’s role became less significant as the story progressed. However, the manga now has the opportunity to showcase her expertise in weather science and her connections with Haredas and Weatheria, bringing her back into a more prominent role in the plot.
