EA has announced a comprehensive list of upcoming additions to FC 25 Career Mode, such as the introduction of women’s football, ICONs, and origin stories.
In response to feedback, EA announced numerous changes inspired by the community for FC 25. These include modifications to SBC storage, Evolution requirements, the elimination of contracts, and a much-anticipated reduction in goalkeeper movement.
In addition, significant improvements to Ultimate Team have been made, including changes to how players construct their squads with FC IQ and enhancements to the Rivals experience, while also introducing 5v5 Rush matches.
In the previous year, EA introduced a new spectate mode to Career Mode, enabling players to observe their teams in action without actively participating. Moreover, the development team incorporated additional tactical choices, such as manager philosophies and tactical visions.
FC 25 builds upon the foundation by revamping tactics and introducing fresh approaches to player and manager career modes.

Women’s Football in Manager Career
Players will now have the opportunity to take control of the top women’s teams from prestigious European leagues and the NWSL for the first time. The Manager Career mode will include 5 fully licensed leagues.
Player Career with ICONs
You can immerse yourself in the Player Career experience by choosing an available ICON and witnessing their success in today’s football. These ICONs are presented at the height of their abilities, allowing you to immediately participate in top-level competition and create your own legacy.
Live Start Points & Snapshots
In FC 25, you will have the opportunity to manage some of the best men’s and women’s teams throughout the 2024/2025 season, regardless of the specific gameweek.
With Live Start Points for 10 leagues and 12 cup competitions, you can stay up-to-date with real results and join in at any point during the season.
FC IQ in Career Mode
The addition of Tactical Presets and Player Roles brings a fresh perspective to the role of coaching staff. In addition to increasing player attributes, staff members can now also improve the Role Familiarity of key players on the field by one level.
Every manager has the authority to determine whether to incorporate extra freedom and highly skilled playmakers in midfield based on the squad’s inherent capabilities and the opposing team, or to opt for a more cautious approach by assigning a Holding role.
Press Conferences & Morale Sweet Spot
Managers must carefully consider their responses to player performances during press conferences, as they have the option to either commend or critique them.
If the morale of players exceeds a certain level, they stop being very happy and become complacent instead. In this state, their mental Attributes decrease rather than increase.
Youth Academy
The scouting capabilities of the Youth Academy in FC 25 have been enhanced, offering a wide range of over 160 countries to search for potential talent.
