Jake Paul and Mike Tyson’s upcoming match has been officially sanctioned and will be recorded in their professional records.
Jake Paul, a former YouTuber, is scheduled to face off against boxing legend Mike Tyson at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. This highly anticipated event will be Netflix’s inaugural live sports broadcast. Both fighters are expected to put on an exciting match.
Despite facing criticism, Paul’s significant 31-year age difference with his opponent has caused concern for the latter’s well-being. There are worries that his 58-year-old opponent may sustain serious injuries by entering the ring.
It was initially thought that the fight would be an exhibition match, as stated by ‘Iron Mike’ in an interview, and therefore would not require a license. However, Paul has recently announced that the fight will in fact be a professional bout on April 29.
“According to his statement on X, Jake Paul revealed that both Mike Tyson and Netflix were in favor of having a professional fight. In agreement, Paul decided to make it a winner-takes-all pro fight.”

Although a doctor advised Tyson to wear head guards to avoid brain injury, his coach Rafael Cordeiro continues to dismiss any concerns, stating that the iconic boxer is still in top physical condition.
Additionally, the coach is confident that fans will have an enjoyable experience when the 58-year-old steps into the ring on the night of the fight. However, it remains to be seen how ‘The Problem Child’ will fare against one of the all-time great boxers.
