The data arrived after console users reported that Game Science’s ambitious title was experiencing performance issues on Sony consoles. Although Game Science has acknowledged the problems, no specific date has been given for a solution.

The release date for the Xbox Series X|S version of Black Myth, which was delayed in order to meet Game Science’s “quality standards,”is still unknown.

The main inspiration for Black Myth is the renowned 16th-century novel Journey to the West, where players assume the role of The Destined One, who is given the mission of recovering the formidable artifacts of Wukong.
