Disney has been keeping the details of their upcoming Star Wars series Skeleton Crew closely guarded, with very little information being released. However, on July 31, a wave of new information, including a release date, was finally revealed on the Internet.
People has exclusively announced that the highly-anticipated series Skeleton Crew will be making its debut on Disney+ on December 3. The show, which will span eight episodes, is expected to keep Star Wars fans engaged until at least 2025.
The development of Skeleton Crew, a Star Wars project at Disney, has been ongoing for quite some time. It was initially revealed at Star Wars Celebration 2022, but information about the series has been scarce ever since.

The show takes place after the events of Return of the Jedi and centers on a group of young individuals who become marooned in the galaxy and must find a way to return home. Jude Law portrays Jod Na Nawood, a powerful Force user, and the series will also include cameos from Jaleel White, Kerry Condon, and Nick Frost.
Skeleton Crew is the newest addition to the Star Wars universe, joining other successful shows set after Return of the Jedi such as The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka. In an interview with People, Law hinted at the show’s inclusion of “great nods to past films and recent episodes and series.”
Jon Watts and Christopher Ford are the creators of Skeleton Crew, with the former being most recognized for his contributions to the MCU’s Spider-Man trilogy. Additionally, the show’s executive producers include Kathleen Kennedy, Jon Favreau, and Dave Filoni, all of whom previously worked on The Mandalorian.
