Upcoming Releases from BABYMONSTER and TREASURE

BABYMONSTER and TREASURE are both expected to leave a lasting impression in 2024.

On May 19, an announcement video outlining YG Entertainment’s 2024 plans for BABYMONSTER and TREASURE was officially released. The video included appearances from founder and producer Yang Hyun Suk, who shared details about the groups’ upcoming activities.

As stated in the video, BABYMONSTER’s upcoming performance video for their B-side track “LIKE THAT,”composed by singer Charlie Puth, was first announced by Yang Hyun Suk. The release date for the performance video is set for May.

Yang Hyun Suk has announced that BABYMONSTER plans to release a full album in September or October. Additionally, he mentioned that the group will release a pre-release single in July prior to the album’s release. See his statements below:

Yang Hyun Suk: “Hello, today I am delighted to deliver some great news about BABYMONSTER and TREASURE. I’m very happy to announce this. Let me give you a brief explanation.”

Question: “What’s new from BABYMONSTER?”

Yang Hyun Suk: “The performance video for ‘LIKE THAT’ that was composed by Charlie Puth, which fans are currently most looking forward to. It will be released within this month.”

Question: “When will BABYMONSTER release their next new song?”

Yang Hyun Suk: “We will definitely release a full album in either September or October. First, we plan to pre-release one of the new songs included in the album sometime in early July. We are planning the MV and broadcasting activities for the next song.”

The founder also discussed TREASURE’s activities, including the group’s highly anticipated song “KING KONG,”and a new album that will be dropped this fall.

Yang Hyun Suk: “TREASURE’s last full album was released on July 28, 2023. We’re presenting a new song to our fans after 10 months. During this time, TREASURE has been very busy. They’re currently on an Asia tour too.”

Yang Hyun Suk: “Fortunately, we have a 2-to-3-week break period, which allows us to introduce a song called ‘KING KONG,’ so I feel very happy about that.”

Furthermore, he provided more details about the core and atmosphere of TREASURE’s latest track “KING KONG.”

Yang Hyun Suk: “I think it might be quite different from the music TREASURE has released so far. The keyword ‘KING KONG’ itself is very strong, so I believe they will present explosive energy with a very strong performance.”

Yang Hyun Suk: “Please support the new song ‘KING KONG,’ being revealed after 10 months, and I promise to give my all for the TREASURE album that will be released this fall.”
