Jake Paul expressed his sorrow to fans when he learned that his anticipated boxing match against Mike Tyson would be delayed indefinitely.
Originally scheduled to take place on July 20 in Arlington, Texas, the highly anticipated match between social media sensation turned professional boxer Paul and legendary heavyweight Tyson was set to occur.
As a result of health concerns regarding Tyson, the fight will no longer occur on the scheduled date. ‘Iron Mike’ has taken heed of medical advice to decrease the intensity of his training.
Fans online immediately expressed concern when the former world champion experienced an ulcer flare-up during his flight from Miami to Los Angeles on May 27.
Despite Tyson’s efforts to minimize concerns, healthcare experts advise that low-intensity workouts are most suitable for the 57-year-old following his recent flare-up.
Per the announcement published by Most Valuable Promotions, Tyson will be scaling back his workouts for the next couple of weeks before resuming training without any restrictions.
Paul resorted to social media in order to share his melancholic emotions regarding the rescheduling of his fight against Tyson.

“It is with great sadness that I share this devastating news. My heart is broken,”Paul expressed to his fans. “I am at a loss for words and completely devastated. We have been putting in so much effort and hard work over here.”
However, my top priority is Mike’s well-being – I have a deep love and admiration for him. I hold him in high regard and it is my utmost desire for him to be in good health.
“I am prepared for whenever you are ready. This opportunity is too significant. I believe this fight will have a profound impact on the world.”
Despite facing criticism from some members of the boxing community after agreeing to the fight, Paul’s critics intensified their comments following Tyson’s health concerns.
Despite this, Tyson himself has stated that he remains fully prepared for the fight. He has even made a promise to knock out ‘The Problem Child’ when they eventually face each other in the ring.
In a written statement, the legend stated, “Jake Paul, though this may have given you temporary relief, you will ultimately be knocked out and permanently removed from the world of boxing.”
Currently, fans are left with no choice but to wait, as Netflix has assured that they will announce “a new fight date”by the end of the upcoming week.
