A producer from Toho has shared exciting news regarding the eagerly awaited Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, and here are the key details you should know.
While the Jujutsu Kaisen manga has reached its conclusion, the anime series continues strong. Season 2 debuted in 2023, showcasing the Gojo’s Past and Shibuya Incident arcs. The first arc serves as a flashback, whereas the latter vividly portrays the intense and brutal nature of its world. Alongside the conclusion of the second season, MAPPA Studio announced the development of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3.
The forthcoming season will delve into the Culling Game Arc, which unfolds as a battle royale featuring sorcerers across various eras engaging in combat. Many of these sorcerers have been resurrected from different timelines or newly awakened by Kenjaku.
Since December 2023, fans have eagerly awaited further updates on Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3. Although the studio has not released a trailer or specified a premiere date yet, the producer has provided some insight.
As reported by Oricon News, Toho Producer Hiroaki Matsutani commented, “The Jujutsu Kaisen attraction at Universal Studios Japan has been remarkably successful and extended its run, and it is now set to debut at the original Universal Studios Hollywood. We frequently receive enthusiastic feedback from fans locally, and we are delighted to provide more individuals the chance to immerse themselves in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime universe. Furthermore, we are diligently working on the sequel to the series, so stay tuned for further announcements.”
While the anticipation for the new season grows, the producer reassures viewers that production is actively underway. Although the Jujutsu Kaisen manga has reached its end, whispers of a potential Jujutsu Kaisen Part 2 have surfaced, though no solid information is available at this point.
