LG has released the Android 13 upgrade for eligible devices, as promised. Already, the company has released updated software for the LG Velvet and LG V60 ThinQ. The time has come for the LG Wing. True, LG has begun distributing the Android 13 update for the LG Wing. Read on for more information about the update.

LG Wing acquires the new software with the software version number V40a-MAR-16-2023. As the smartphone was announced with Android 10, this is its third significant software upgrade. As this is a significant update, it pounds approximately 1.4GB; therefore, ensure that your mobile device has sufficient storage space.

The update is currently seeding in Korea and will shortly be released in other countries. Several users have already received the new update, and some LG Wing users have shared screenshots on Reddit and other social networks.

  • On the lock screen, shortcut indicators for device controls can be displayed.
  • Added preview, sharing, and text modification capabilities for images and text that have been copied.
  • In the status notification window, you can view running applications and terminate them.

  • The status notification window now displays music and video controllers with enhanced functionality.
  • Added an app-specific permission setting for notifications.

The Android 13 update for the LG Wing includes several new features and security enhancements. The upgrade adds new media player controls to the lock screen and notification bar, themed icons with enhancements, and numerous other modifications. Additionally, the update will advance the monthly security upgrade to March 2023.

If you own the LG Wing and reside in Korea, you may have already received the Android 13 OTA update notification on your device. If not, you can walk over to the Software updates settings and update your phone to the new software.

Before updating your phone, be sure to back up any essential data and charge it to at least 50 percent.
