Currently, Jujutsu Kaisen is on hiatus after chapter 256 was released. It was truly thrilling to see Yuji Itadori finally being prepared for a long-awaited awakening. The story also reintroduces two familiar characters, Miguel and Larue, who will face off against Ryomen Sukuna.
However, while all of this is taking place on one end of the battlefield, there is no update on the progress of Uraume and Hakari’s battle at the other end. The last we saw of them was in chapter 245, where they were engaged in a fierce exchange of blows and Uraume had just unleashed their powerful Innate Technique on the Jujutsu High sorcerer.
Since that time, there has been no mention of them.

The Tragic Fate of Urauma in Jujutsu Kaisen: A Theory
Currently, Jujutsu Kaisen is dedicated to the Sukuna battle, with sorcerers continuously entering and exiting the fight. Atsuya Kusakabe was the final one to retreat after sustaining injuries from the Demon King’s attacks. The arrival of Miguel and Larue provided an opportunity for Choso, Maki, and Yuji to recuperate and rejoin the ongoing duel.
Meanwhile, the conflict between Hakari and Uraume continues in another location and is expected to become entangled with the primary battle. As both possess equivalent Battle IQ and technique release, fans have speculated on a possible outcome for their match that is both tragic and ironic.
The situation is as follows: If Sukuna were to successfully regain his Reverse Cursed Technique (RCT) and gain the ability to use Domain Expansion (DE), he would use the latter to impede Yuji’s attack. From a distance, Uruame would probably begin to commend their master and his terrifying powers.
Hakari could take advantage of this opportunity to launch a full-scale attack. His strategy would be to inflict significant damage on Uraume and draw them towards Sukuna’s Domain, which has no protective barrier. The timing of this tactic would be crucial, as it would allow Hakari to push Uraume into the range of his attacks.
In order to take advantage of their fading loyalty to Sukuna, he would suddenly charge towards him. Uraume would never tolerate such a tactic and would likely be caught in the midst of Sukuna’s attacks, resulting in fatal injuries. This would bring an end to the battle between Hakari and Uraume, with the former joining his allies in the fight against the Demon King.
It appears that this theory is quite believable, given Hakari’s cunning nature. In addition, it is not far-fetched to suggest that Uraume would go to great lengths to prevent any further efforts to rally support against their master.
Ultimately, it would be ironic if Uraume were to lose their life in this manner. Since their introduction, they have consistently displayed a strong loyalty towards Sukuna. This was evident in their decision to align with Kenjaku in order to seal Gojo Satoru and bring back Sukuna. Moreover, everything was meticulously prepared for Sukuna’s eventual return (The Bath).
Conclusion
This theory on Jujutsu Kaisen is just one of many that exist, alongside a plethora of other hypotheses. However, like the rest, it also has its own inconsistencies that have not been addressed.
It remains uncertain if Sukuna has regained his RCT and whether he is able to perform Domain Expansion. Additionally, it has been recently revealed that Sukuna has ceased healing himself and has instead redirected his attention towards attacking.
Furthermore, in the event of success, Hakari, Uraume, and the other sorcerers would all be affected if they entered the range, as they would not be able to avoid it in time.
Despite the details that may challenge this theory, it remains a sturdy possibility among countless others for what could occur. The truth will be revealed in approximately 10 days when the next chapter is released.
