Utilizing Malignant Powers in Diablo 4 Season 6: A Comprehensive Guide

Diablo 4’s inaugural season was themed around Malignant Powers, with the season named Malignant Hearts. This feature allowed players to harness formidable abilities temporarily, but once the season concluded, Malignant Powers were phased out to introduce Vampiric Powers.

In Season 2, however, players welcomed back Malignant Powers in the form of Malignant Rings, resurrecting some fan-favorite abilities as items that players could pursue and equip. As we dive into Season 6 of Diablo 4, let’s explore how to effectively utilize these Malignant Powers.

The return of Diablo 4’s Malignant Powers was implemented in Patch 1.2.2.

Malignant Rings in Season 6

From the roster of original Malignant Powers introduced in Season 1, only five have been reintroduced in Season 2 and continue to be available in Season 6 as Malignant Rings. There is a possibility that Blizzard may expand this list with additional rings in the future.

The currently available Malignant Powers in ring form within Diablo 4 include:

Malignant Ring Character Class Action
Ring of Red Furor Barbarian Ensures a critical strike for a skill after depleting 100 Fury within three seconds.
Tal Rasha’s Iridescent Loop Sorcerer Increases elemental damage by 10-15% for four seconds with each elemental hit.
Airidah’s Inexorable Will Druid Inflicts extra damage after casting an Ultimate Skill, drawing in distant foes.
Writhing Band of Trickery Rogue Creates a Decoy Trap every 12 seconds following a Subterfuge Skill cast.
Ring of the Sacrilegious Soul Necromancer Automatically activates Raise Skeleton, Corpse Explosion, and Corpse Tendrils when equipped.

If additional Malignant Powers are integrated into the game, we will ensure to update this section accordingly.

Finding Malignant Rings

Malignant Rings are exclusive drops from the boss Echoes of Varshan, requiring players to engage in battles against him for a chance to obtain these rings. While it’s not a certainty that a Malignant Ring will drop after defeating Varshan, they remain a frequent reward for players who succeed in this challenge.

Varshan served as the final boss in Season 1 of Diablo 4 but continues to be summonable and fightable during the current season as well as in the Eternal Realm.
