Simultaneously, two other students, Katayama and another classmate accompanied by a teacher, underwent horrific transformations into massive snails. Although the students were confined in a cage, Katayama’s family refused to accept the reality when they were informed.

Kirie’s own hair became a terrifying character, extending and curling wildly. When she sought a haircut, her hair retaliated, growing even longer and attacking the stylist, ultimately branching into spirals that mesmerized anyone who dared to look.

Kyoko, feeling overshadowed by Kirie, attempted to imitate her hair’s growth, resulting in a stark confrontation. The episode also introduced Mitsuru, a classmate fixated on Kirie, whose frightening behavior led to a tragic ending when he attempted to prove his affection by stopping a vehicle, resulting in a fatal accident.

In the climactic moments, Kirie’s brother, Mitsuo, alongside others, explored an old lighthouse that had recently sparked to life.
