YouTube sensation Valkyrae sparked rumors that she had received plastic surgery when a South Korean clinic shared a photo of her on their Instagram page.
In August 2024, Valkyrae, a well-known content creator, embarked on a trip to South Korea accompanied by some of her fellow internet personalities. While exploring the city, they made a visit to View Plastic Surgery, a renowned 19-story medical facility located in Seoul’s Gangnam district.
Although the facility provides a diverse range of procedures including facial contouring, eyelid surgery, dermatology, and more, it is most renowned as a top plastic surgery destination in the country.
As a result, when Valkyrae and her fellow streamers were showcased on the clinic’s Instagram account, it sparked speculation among fans about whether she had undergone plastic surgery while in South Korea.
Despite the rumors, Valkyrae has denied them. In a live stream following her return from the visit, she clarified that she had only received a facial at View Plastic Surgery, which is one of the various dermatological services they provide.
“Just to clarify, I did not undergo any plastic surgery,”she explained. “I simply received a facial treatment during my visit. The way they worded it made it seem as though I had gotten plastic surgery, which was quite absurd.”
After calling out the clinic, she made sure to mention that fellow streamers Janet and Yvonne were also in the photo with her, which the clinic had initially failed to acknowledge. It is worth mentioning that the post has now been edited to include Miyoung and Kkatamina.
“Rae exclaimed, “What the f***? I truly cannot believe [it].”
Valkyrae stated that they decided to go to the clinic as they were accompanied by Miyoung, a fellow streamer who had a connection to the facility through a family friend and wanted to make a visit.
“She explained that the employees were fans of theirs, so they happily took photos with them. She also made it clear that she has not undergone any plastic surgery and would openly admit if she had. She stated that she is too afraid to get botox or filler and believes in aging gracefully like fine wine.”
Valkyrae has previously expressed her thoughts on getting plastic surgery for herself, making it clear that this is not the first time she has spoken out about it. In 2022, the streamer shared her views on the topic, explaining that she is not interested in undergoing the procedure due to her aversion to pain and needles, as well as her admitted laziness.
