Valkyrae Responds to Viewer Calling Her “Expired” at Age 32

YouTube sensation Valkyrae expertly fired back at a critical follower who chastised her for being 32 and without a family.

Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter stands out as one of the leading female streamers online, but her talents extend far beyond just streaming.

Throughout her career, Valkyrae has graced music videos with artists such as Machine Gun Kelly, modeled for the luxury brand Gucci, and co-founded the gaming organization 100 Thieves. Recently, she even launched her own anime-centered production company in September.

It’s evident that her successful career as an influencer provides her with ample financial resources for her lifestyle. However, as with many public figures, not everyone is pleased with her choices.

At 32, Valkyrae is a significant presence in the world of YouTube streaming.

Even with her typically positive reputation, one online user found fault with her age. After watching a video where Valkyrae lip-synced a trending TikTok sound, the viewer couldn’t resist commenting negatively on her age, despite her impressive accomplishments.

“Valkyrae is 32 years old dressing like a schoolgirl,” the tweet read on October 5. “Super weird, go start a family.”

Valkyrae quickly caught wind of the unkind tweet and responded with a sharp-witted comeback.

“I’m here to address the allegations,” she quipped. “The allegations being that, yes, the rumors are true. I am aging, and yes, I am a woman. I am a woman with ovaries, and I am aging. And yes, for the rest of my life, I’m going to be told I am ‘too old’ to play video games and ‘too old’ to dress up for Halloween.”

calling Valkyrae “expired” in a quote tweet, but the responses to their post have been mixed.

This isn’t the first instance where Valkyrae has pushed back against critics regarding her lifestyle choices and appearance. She has previously expressed her acceptance of aging, stating in an August stream, “When I hit menopause, that brick wall, it’s gonna happen, and it is what it is. I will buy my 50 cats and I will be alone forever. That is the plan.”
