Valkyrae’s Ex-Boyfriend Criticizes “Disturbing” Podcast Segment About Him

Streamer Sonii recently voiced his concerns regarding his former girlfriend Valkyrae after she showcased a voodoo doll resembling him during an episode of her PressESC podcast, labeling the act as “disturbing.”

During the podcast episode, Valkyrae shared the spotlight with co-host Alythuh, with both of them dressing up as characters from Teen Titans, a popular DC Comics series.

In a notable segment of the show, which was later cut and shared on the official PressESC Twitter, Alythuh presented Valkyrae with a box containing various gifts, among which was a voodoo doll.

“I created a voodoo doll of your ex,” Alythuh remarked, adding, “I despise that man.”

Valkyrae appeared taken aback, responding: “Alyssa… that’s incredibly deranged. Oh my god. Why does it actually resemble him? This is so troll.”

The ex-boyfriend in question is Michael ‘Sonii’ Sherman, a Twitch streamer who had a four-year relationship with Valkyrae before their split in 2020.

In response to the online clip, he stated: “I haven’t had any communication with you since our separation three years ago. However, this is quite disturbing and necessitates my first outreach to you.”

“Over the last few years, my focus has been on living peacefully without your presence in my life. Our relationship had toxic elements on both sides, but there was no infidelity or physical abuse. We both experienced pain for our own reasons and hopefully, we are healing in our own time.”

“I completely understand if this behavior is part of your healing process from our tumultuous past.”

“This type of behavior has been ongoing, but I know that people and situations evolve, so I’m uncertain about what to expect next,” Sonii added.

He concluded his thoughts by mentioning that he lacks other means to reach her but welcomes any communication if she wishes to talk.

“I genuinely hope we can rise above the current trajectory of our situation. I have no way to contact you, but you’re welcome to reach out if you seek further closure.”

As of now, Valkyrae has yet to publicly address Sonii’s statements, though she seems poised to do so soon on her podcast.

Shortly after Sonii’s response, the PressESC podcast tweeted: “Cheater and liar episode coming soon!” which Valkyrae subsequently shared on her own social media.

This likely hints at a forthcoming episode regarding their past relationship. In 2022, Sonii hinted that he would reveal details about their split, but ultimately did not follow through.
