Riot Games is stirring excitement within the Valorant community by teasing the upcoming Agent 27, providing a glimpse into this new character’s potential. Here’s a comprehensive overview of what has been revealed thus far.
Since its beta launch, Valorant has featured a roster of Agents, initially presenting 10 distinct characters. Each of these Agents possesses unique abilities, distinguishing the game from competitors like Counter-Strike and enabling players to develop dynamic team compositions tailored for strategic gameplay.
As the game evolved, Riot Games has continued to expand its character offerings. Today, Valorant boasts a total of 26 Agents, with the introduction of new characters typically celebrated during Valorant Champions events.
Unveiling Agent 27 in Valorant
As of now, the primary official information about Agent 27 was issued by Riot on December 9. This brief teaser features the new Agent exiting an aircraft, igniting speculation within the fanbase.
The teaser’s title, “¿quiubo, VALORANT?”, translates from Colombian slang to “What’s up, Valorant?”, hinting at the character’s nationality. Coupled with imagery of Pan De Leche and a coffee cup in the scene, it strongly suggests that Agent 27 is Colombian—a notable addition, marking the return of South American representation since Raze, one of the original Agents.
Speculations on Agent 27’s Abilities
Regarding the abilities of Agent 27, no leaks have surfaced as of yet. However, it has been confirmed that this character will function as an Initiator.
Currently, the Agent carries the codename “GlassTech,”though this will not be the final in-game designation. A calling card titled “Striking Distance”has also been unveiled, which may provide further hints about the character’s capabilities.
Intriguingly, some players have interpreted the artwork from the calling card to suggest that Agent 27 may have the ability to see through walls, as indicated by a broken graphical element atop the card.
