Valorant’s developers have officially announced their plans to release a series of nerfs for the Iso weapon, following its brief period of dominance during Episode 8 Act 3.
After the conclusion of VCT Masters Shanghai, the release of Patch 8.11 caused major changes in the meta, resulting in Raze losing popularity. As a result, Iso and Neon emerged as dominant agents due to their significant buffs.
Despite the fact that Iso has only been in the game for a short time, he has already become a dominant force. In fact, many players are pleading with Riot to weaken him, only a few days after the patch was released. This is due to the fact that the changes transformed him from being one of Valorant’s weakest Duelists to one of the strongest in a very short period of time, rather than a gradual progression.
Indeed, Riot has taken note and announced that they will be implementing Iso nerfs in the upcoming patch, in an attempt to rein him in.
We have an upcoming Iso change planned for 9.00:– Removing the two-kill reset on his E– Reducing the duration of his E from 20s > 12sRemoving the reset gives Iso just one activation, and reducing the duration should create a clearer window for opponents to deny him fights.

According to penguin, a game designer for Valorant, they have announced their plans to nerf Iso’s Double Tap in Patch 9.00. This skill has been a source of frustration for numerous players.
The addition of Patch 8.11 brought the removal of Iso’s two-kill reset in Double Tap. Previously, this reset would grant Iso a charge upon getting two kills. Additionally, the duration of Double Tap will now only last for 12 seconds instead of the previous 20 seconds.
“According to penguin, getting rid of the reset feature would only give Iso one activation, while decreasing the duration would allow opponents a better opportunity to prevent him from starting fights.”
Iso’s Double Tap is getting nerfs in Patch 9.00
After the release of Patch 8.11, Iso’s win rate significantly increased in the game, surpassing its previous rate in the previous act. According to Blitz.gg’s statistics for ranked games in Platinum 3 during the current act, Iso’s win rate has risen from 45.6% to 50.1%.
Despite receiving significant buffs along with Iso, Neon only experienced a minimal increase in win rates, going up by only 0.2%.
Thankfully, the reign of Iso will soon be coming to an end, as Patch 9.00 will be available for PC players on June 25. The changes to Iso will also be implemented for consoles in Patch 9.01.
