The latest update for Valorant, Episode 8 Act 3, has arrived, and it brings a wealth of new content. This includes the start date for the new Act and all the exciting additions that come with it.
While the addition of Clove, a Controller Agent, expanded the pool of Agents in Valorant Episode 8 Act 2, Act 3 will introduce a new map which will be unveiled at VCT Masters Shanghai.
Just as in previous releases, Episode 8 Act 3 introduces a new premium skinline and Battle Pass, providing players with the opportunity to earn rewards through gameplay. Additionally, this Act marks the beginning of a new season of Premier, featuring some changes, and also sets the stage for VCT Masters Shanghai in May 2024. Valorant Episode 8 Act 3 Release Date and Time
On April 30, 2024, Riot released Act 3 of Valorant Episode 8. The previous Act, Act 2, also ended on the same day, and the new Act was launched for players after a brief maintenance period.
The release of Episode 8 Act 3 was at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET / 10 pm BST, maintaining a similar launch time as previous Acts.
Valorant Episode 8 Act 3 Updates
With the introduction of patch 8.08, Valorant witnessed a significant shift in the meta. The characters of Cypher and Viper were noticeably nerfed and the Mystbloom bundle was added as the latest premium skinline.
The latest update to the Premier game mode includes a change where players who meet specific requirements will be placed one division higher in Stage E9A1. This adjustment has been made to ensure that players are placed in the appropriate division for the upcoming Act, known as the “Invite”Division.
In the second half of Episode 8 Act 3, players will have the opportunity to explore the 11th map in the game. Although details about its setting, theme, and layout are currently unavailable, we will update this section once Riot officially reveals them.
