Valorant Leaker Discovers Potential Bot Match Mode

With the release of Episode 9, Valorant data miners have uncovered a line of code labeled “Bot Match”, indicating the possibility of a new bot match mode.

Valorant continues to expand its reach, recently releasing a console beta that will introduce the FPS title to a new platform. However, as the excitement of the console beta dies down, another leak has surfaced, this time regarding a potential new game mode.

The potential discovery is driven by a specific player card called “Bot means business,”which was included in the Episode 9 Battle Pass and released on June 26 as both a regular and epilogue golden player card. The Battle Pass has already revealed new content, including a teaser for Agent 26 through two other player cards.

At present, Valorant offers a bot mode feature in The Range practice area, allowing players to try out different Agents, weapons, and lineups. The Range also provides designated zones for practicing site retakes and bomb planting, complete with bots that can be adjusted to various difficulty levels.

Furthermore, Valorant has introduced an additional method for console players to face off against bots. Upon completing the training course, players are able to engage in a brief match against bots, similar to the ones featured in The Range.

Despite being a leak on X, a line of code from the recent Episode 9 update has been discovered, referencing “Bot Match”twice. Along with the addition of the “Bot Means Business”player card, this has caused speculation among the leaker about a potential new mode. However, it is worth noting that it could also be a placeholder or ultimately result in nothing.

Although no official announcements have been made regarding potential additions or modifications to existing modes, such as different types of boss battles, players are eagerly anticipating further updates on the expansion of this aspect of the game.

Valorant currently provides a variety of game modes to appeal to its wide range of players, including Escalation, Deathmatch, Swift Play, Spike Rush, and Team Deathmatch. These are accompanied by the traditional modes, such as competitive and unrated, as well as the newly introduced Premier mode, which offers a direct pathway for players to enter professional play.

Despite some users joking in the comments of X that their teammates in Unrated and Competitive were already considered “bots,”rendering the mode meaningless, it is important to note that these are just leaks and it may be some time before a completely bot-controlled mode is introduced, if it is even introduced at all.
