Valorant on Console and Mobile: What We Know So Far

It’s high time for Valorant, one of the most popular first-person shooters, to expand its reach and launch on additional platforms. With its widespread appeal, this move has been long awaited by fans.

Is Valorant Coming to Console?

After years of development, Valorant is finally making its way to consoles. The game will be available to play on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X. Developers Riot Games have announced a limited beta playtest for console players, set to take place on June 14, 2024. While this means only a select few can participate in the first console experience of Valorant, the beta playtest will pave the way for a full release on both platforms in the near future.

If you would like to become a playtester, there are certain requirements that must be met. Once these requirements have been fulfilled, all you need to do is wait for an invitation. The invitations will be sent out when the beta is released, so there is no need to worry if you do not receive a response from Riot Games before then. However, please note that registering for the beta does not guarantee an invitation. You must receive an official invitation from Riot Games or a referral link from a friend in order to participate in the beta. These conditions must also be met to be considered for an invitation to the beta.

  • To participate in the Valorant Beta, you can either sign up directly on the Valorant website or obtain a referral link from someone who has received an invitation from Riot Games.
  • Reside in the regions of North America, Europe, or Japan (with the possibility of expansion in the future).
  • Have a Valorant Account in good standing (no current bans/suspensions on VALORANT or Riot level)
  • Own an Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5

To learn more about the restricted beta trial, please refer to Riot Games’ official support website. Best of luck!

Is Valorant’s Cross-Play Between Console and PC Available?

With the release of Valorant on consoles this month, many players are curious about the inclusion of cross-play. However, it has been confirmed that cross-play will not be available between PC and console versions of the game. This decision was made to maintain the game’s “competitive integrity”as PC players have a significant advantage over console players. However, cross-progression will be available, allowing players to continue their progress and experience on both PC and console.

Is Valorant Coming to Mobile?

Despite no official announcement, it appears that Riot Games intends to test and release Valorant Mobile in China initially. This is a wise decision, given that China boasts one of the largest mobile gaming communities globally.

We can only hope that the international version of the game will be released soon after its launch in China. Until Riot Games provides more details about Valorant Mobile, we will have to patiently wait for a better understanding of its arrival.
