Valve finally acknowledges Deadlock as FPS MOBA gets mysterious store page

At long last, Deadlock has become a reality. Well, almost. Valve has officially acknowledged their new FPS MOBA, although the details remain sparse on the game’s Steam page.

Ever since rumors began circulating, we have been eagerly anticipating Valve’s upcoming game. Certain content creators have already been given access for a significant amount of time, and numerous leaks have exposed what they have been working on in secrecy.

In recent weeks, there has been a significant increase in activity. The game’s earliest test has seen a surge in participants, with tens of thousands joining through Steam invitations, making it one of the most popular titles on the platform, even before it was officially named.

Fortunately, the wait is over and we can now openly talk about it without the risk of being removed from the preview build. On August 23, Deadlock’s Steam page unexpectedly became available, without any prior announcement or promotion, staying true to its current release pattern.

Despite the Steam page being launched and the Deadlock title being confirmed, we still lack any substantial information about the game. A release date has not been announced, system requirements are unknown, and details on gameplay and how interested players can participate are still scarce.

The only text on the entire Steam page for Deadlock, a multiplayer game in its early stages, is a brief description. Along with this, there is a 22-second video that showcases the game’s sole map, panning down to the street level and featuring a prominent character in the foreground.

There is no dialogue to consider, no hint of what is to come in the near future, only a vague glimpse to establish the mood.

Currently, the only change that has been made is the launching of a Steam page. To access the Deadlock test, one must receive a direct invitation from a friend. This initial confirmation from Valve suggests that the developers may be preparing to allow wider access in the near future.

Despite there being no limitations on what can be shared, content creators have immediately taken advantage of the curiosity. Within a matter of minutes after the store page was released, numerous viewers are already flocking to the most popular Twitch channels.

We will be sure to stay alert for any additional updates as Valve’s FPS MOBA emerges from secrecy.
