In episode 9 of Vampire Dormitory, titled The Pretty Boy Goes To a Party, Komori announced that the café would be temporarily closed for renovations. He then assigned all the employees with the task of creating DIY designs for the new café, which they all eagerly took on. As everyone was engrossed in their tasks, Mito and Ren were spotted behaving strangely while crossing paths.

Afterwards, Jura instructed them to go to the supply shop with Ruka to purchase an item. Ren then approached Ruka and brought up Mito, accusing him of avoiding her because he had already found his soulmate. Later that evening, Ruka revealed his true feelings to Mito, admitting that he had found his destined partner and asking for her ongoing support in his life.

The day after, Mito went to Ren’s house and had the chance to meet his mother, who happened to be the chosen mate of a vampire. Ren’s mother explained that her life was content, as she had distanced herself from the outside world and focused solely on her husband. Mito’s reaction was subdued, as she felt uncertain about what her own future held.

The episode ended with Ruka and the others going to Ren’s house for an engagement ceremony with Mito, who was unaware of the event. During the ceremony, Ren expressed his desire for Mito to be his and proceeded to drink her blood. Mito pushed him away and fled outside, where she encountered Ruka. As Ruka helped undress her, Mito suddenly realized that she had transformed into a man.
