Vault Locations in Fortnite: Chapter 4 Season 2

Vaults have been added and returned to Fortnite several times, and each time they appear to operate somewhat differently than the last. Before Chapter 4 Season 2 began, players could unlock Cold-Blooded vaults during the Most Wanted Event, however the vaults were removed from the game once the event concluded.

It’s unclear if they’ll be part of this season’s lore, but Cold Blooded opponents appear to be back on the map, and they’re once again guarding their lavish vaults. This guide will teach gamers where to go in Fortnite to discover vaults.

The Chapter 4 Season 2 map features three vault sites. Two of them are still in the same area they were during the Most Wanted Event last season, but because a big portion of the map was substantially altered to reflect this season’s futuristic concept, one of the vaults had to be relocated.

A vault may be found at Brustal Bastion, in the northern portion of the hallway to the left of the reward board; in Mega City, beneath the parking garage on the POI’s northeastern corner; and, last, at Shattered Slabs, inside the mining area directly near the capture point.

How to Unlock Vaults

When the initial storm circle has closed, the Highcard marker will emerge in these areas, indicating where players may locate this NPC. Highcard is a Cold-Blooded boss who is constantly accompanied by Cold-Blooded henchmen.

To unlock the vault, players must earn a keycard, which can only be gained by defeating Highcard. The player is not required to kill the henchmen, but they will all become hostile and attack the player as soon as they kill their leader.

After being knocked out and eliminated, Highcard will drop the vault keycard. If the player wishes to keep the card, they must give up one of their inventory slots. Fortunately, the treasure within the vault is excellent, so players are likely to discover whatever they’ve lost inside.

When the keycard is selected in one’s inventory, it leaves a holographic trail leading to the vault’s door, so players don’t waste time hunting for it if they don’t remember where to go. They must then swipe the keycard on the console next to the vault’s entrance, and the door will open in a matter of seconds.

Fortnite is accessible on mobile, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
