Venom 3 Knull Casting Announcement: Surprise Actor Stepping In Instead of Norman Reedus

Venom 3 Knull Casting Announcement: Surprise Actor Stepping In Instead of Norman Reedus

Venom 3 is poised to introduce Knull, the creator of the symbiotes, with the casting details seemingly confirmed in a recent report.

Venom 3, titled The Last Dance, will conclude Tom Hardy’s wildly popular anti-hero trilogy, following Eddie Brock and his symbiotic companion as they evade government agents and extraterrestrial threats descending upon Earth.

While it’s uncertain whether this installment will set the stage for Spider-Man 4, the latest trailer has unveiled the introduction of a significant Marvel antagonist: Knull, the god of darkness and progenitor of the symbiotes. This character possesses immense power, capable of easily overpowering Thanos.

Knull made a brief appearance in the trailer; however, the actor portraying him remained unconfirmed. Previous rumors suggested that Norman Reedus, known for his role as Daryl Dixon in The Walking Dead, was cast, but according to this new report, that narrative has shifted.

Andy Serkis as Klaue in the MCU and Knull in the Marvel comics

Andy Serkis is reportedly set to portray Knull in Venom: The Last Dance, according to sources from DanielRPK. Furthermore, he may also feature in additional Marvel projects in the future, the insider claimed.

This aligns with a widespread prediction: Knull is unlikely to be the central focus of Venom 3 and may have limited screen presence. The film could potentially lay the groundwork for the next Spider-Man film, or, if Sony’s cinematic universe intersects with the MCU, it might all lead to Avengers: Secret Wars.

Serkis is an intriguing choice for two key reasons: he already made his mark in the MCU as Ulysses Klaue in Age of Ultron and Black Panther, and he also directed Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

“Well that’s definitely promising. At least in terms of voice acting and performance. Wonder if they plan more Venom movies or if he’s gonna be part of the MCU,” one user reacted.

“I know this is probably polarizing to a lot of people – but imo it’s a very intriguing choice, especially if they go mocap. Those other projects most likely would include Spider-Man 4,” another speculated.
