TikTok sensation Vexbolts captured attention during his highly publicized ‘last-ever’ TikTok Live stream on December 31, achieving an impressive viewer turnout.
In the days leading to the end of December, Vexbolts—the creator behind the viral ‘Let him cook’ meme—saw a dramatic surge in his follower count, countering a trend where many TikTok users attempted to mass unfollow him. Instead of losing followers, Vexbolts experienced a remarkable gain of 7 million followers within just a few days.
Among the many influencers contributing to the “leave Vexbolts in 2024” movement was YouTube icon MrBeast, who joined right before the follower exodus commenced. By January 1, 2025, Vexbolts had lost millions of followers within mere hours.
Record-Breaking Live Stream for Vexbolts
Vexbolts initiated his TikTok Live at 11:45 PM, concluding right before the New Year rang in. Although he began to lose followers as fans in different time zones welcomed the new year hours earlier, his live stream witnessed a remarkable influx of viewers during those crucial 15 minutes.
During this brief period, Vexbolts’ live broadcast attracted an astounding peak of 996,200 viewers, potentially setting a new record for TikTok Live viewership, as reported by fellow TikTok user NoahGlennCarter.

In addition to his TikTok success, Vexbolts expanded his audience on Twitch, where he also streamed his ‘funeral’. He recorded a remarkable peak of 12,227 viewers, according to Twitchtracker, which marked an increase of 11,600 from his previous stream on December 29.
Though it remains uncertain whether Vexbolts will adhere to the “left in 2024” narrative and cease creating content throughout 2025, he has undeniably gained significant attention and followers during this period. As of this writing, Vexbolts boasts nearly 3,000,000 followers—more than double his count prior to the recent unfollow campaign.
