Victoria Justice openly discussed her discomfort while filming her first explicit romance scene.
As an actor, your initial experience filming an explicit romance scene could take various paths; however, Justice has been very open about how her encounter was not all about glamour and glitz.
During a recent interview with Sirius XM’s Hits 1 LA hosts Tony Fly and Symon, the former star of Victorious opened up about shooting her first scene of this nature for her upcoming crime thriller Depravity.
During my first day on set, I had my very first sex scene,”Justice shared. “I was surprised that it was scheduled for the first day, and I couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable about it. I was nervous and anxious about the entire situation, and I even questioned if I had made the right decision.
“Many people may assume that filming sex scenes or any intimate scenes is a highly erotic experience, but in reality, it is quite the opposite. It can be uncomfortable and awkward, especially with a group of strangers present in the room, constantly watching and breathing down your neck.”
The actress went on to say, “Although we had just met on the first day of filming, the actor I was working with was incredibly kind and made me feel secure. Despite not knowing each other well, he was very polite and respectful, which allowed us to form a friendly relationship.”
Despite the scene not meeting her expectations, Justice was reassured by the director’s promise to show it to her beforehand and make changes if needed. She expressed her faith and trust in him, stating that he made her feel comfortable about the scene.
Justice stated that the scene was a success and she is confident that viewers will find it to be tasteful.
The group of tenants, who believe their neighbor is a serial killer, will be plagued by depravity as they conduct their own investigation to uncover the truth. In the process, they stumble upon a valuable art heist worth millions.
Despite Paramount acquiring the rights to the film in December, there is currently no official release date for Depravity.
