Victory: Korea’s Answer to Bring It On Gets US Release Date

“The Korean comedy film Victory, which premiered at a New York film festival, has now been released in theaters across the US.”

At the recent New York Asian Film Festival, the opening night movie was Victory, and Lee Hye-ri – a member of popular K-pop group Girl’s Day – received the international ‘Rising Star Asia’ award for her role in the film.

This comedy-drama, which has been likened to the beloved cult favorite Bring It On and the recent comedic success Bottoms, takes place in 1999 on a Korean island high school. The story follows the creation of a cheer club known as the Millennium Girls.

The group’s energetic and acrobatic performances uplift the spirits of a region that has been affected by the 1997 financial crisis in Asia. They also serve as inspiration for the school’s football team, as they strive to make it to the national championships.

At the moment, there is no information available about a potential release in the UK or any other European countries. However, we will keep this article updated as soon as any news becomes available.
